Escale au port le Palais à Belle-Ile-en-Mer pour faire le plein de Smile. Puis 12h de navigation avec du près et les dauphins :) Marie à la barre, à l’école de Charlotte on n’apprend pas que la voile, on apprend aussi à porter la veste de quart avec style ! 11 inches of rain in the last few days have the rivers rising in the Souther Louisiana area of St. Tammany Parish. We have our boat in a Marina off of the Tchefuncte River. The river flows down into Lake Ponchatrain, but not before the Abita River and the Bogue Falaya River dump their water into it as well. All that water had the river cresting and the waters rising a couple feet over the top of the docks. We spent the majority of the night and day checking and adjusting our lines to keep the boat safe. Once the sun came up, my 2 boat neighbors and I were checking all the other live a-boards and boats in the Marina. We filmed quite a bit of it, and also some flooding around the area where we keep the boat. Join us on our journey as we continue to rebuild, refit and prepare our Formosa 51 Sailboat for our continued cruising journey. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board.
