Il gioco fine a se stesso, una malattia che ben conosco. Ma la novità assoluta di oggi è il primo albatros che ci è venuto a trovare, il simbolo di questi mari. E' la prima volta, nella mia vita, che ne vedo uno e non me l' aspettavo già a questa latitudine. Che bello!

The Atlantic crossing is getting closer but before heading back to Mindelo we visit a couple of more anchorages. We celebrate Halloween on the beach with sailing friends and then sail to the uninhabited island Santa Luzia. Back in Mindelo we prepare the last things for the crossing but then our gut feelings tells us that we should wait for a better weather forecast. We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built aluminium Beason 40, and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started to sail south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds takes us. Helicopter braves extreme North Sea conditions to land on moving ship | Latest News The Danish Air Force navigated a new helicopter's landing on a warship under extreme weather conditions in the North Atlantic on Friday. The pilots landed the Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopter on a navy patrol vessel around the Faroe Islands, between Norway and Iceland. The landing was the final competence test for the Danish Air Force pilots, who had waited three weeks for the weather to be suitably rough to pose a real challenge. The Danish Air Force received three choppers in June and will have another six delivered in 2018. Each machine reportedly costs $686 million (?647.29 million), including the price of logistical support. We didn't find it in the middle of the night, but I did find it in the morning. This is what we found, how we diagnosed it and how we 'repaired it' for the time being. The real repair really needs to be a completely newly designed panel for the boat.
