Having left San Juan we have arrived to the Fajardo area (east of Puerto Rico). We anchored out next to the huge marina and it became one of our preferred anchorages (to be, not to stay). We met a lot of cruisers at Thanksgiving party, sharing sailing stories from all over the world. Few days after we sailed to the closest island, Isla Palominos, and had great time down there. We are an international couple - Jack (from France), Kateryna (from Ukraine). We have been crossing this wonderful life together since 10 years. We have been at sea out of sight of land for more than a week crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and still have 800 miles to go to Saint Lucia. Stormy squalls pass by regularly bringing winds over 30 knots. We also run into huge rafts of Sargasso weed which becomes a big problem for us as it hangs up on our keel and rudders slowing us down, and making it difficult to steer.

Chris Bake seemed to light the "touch paper" aboard his Team Aqua on day two of fleet racing at the RC44 Valletta Cup. The longest serving RC44 crew was in league of its own, winning all three races. This propelled them up the leaderboard from fifth to first place. Achieving a perfect scoreline, also leaves Team Aqua with a useful nine-point lead - a strong position for Chris Bake's team. Meanwhile the rest of the fleet, even the top teams struggled to find consistency with up and down scores thanks to today's tricky conditions. Overnight leader, Artemis Racing, struggled today, dropping to third overall, albeit tied on points with Katusha in second. The RC44 Valletta Cup is the final event of the 2016 Championship Tour, which pits the world's top businessmen and the best sailors in the industry compete in high-performance one-design 44-foot carbon racing yachts. Day 18 - Vendée Globe 2016 The Vendée Globe is a sailing race around the world and nonstop singlehanded. Skipper sails around the world from west to east via the three major capes of Good Hope, Leeuwin and the Horn. There is a long slide down the Atlantic, the perilous voyage across the Southern Ocean with firstly the Indian Ocean and its crossed seas, then the Pacific Ocean, the world’s biggest ocean. Strada di montagna percorsa a ritmo sostenuto con itinerario che spazia tra qualche chilometro prima del "Semaforo" (Bar Ristorante Pizzeria) di Villaggio Racise (CZ) a Bocca di Piazza nel Comune di Parenti (CS). L'auto è una Z4 2,5 cc., 6 cilindri, 24 valvole, 209 hp e 6 marce con cambio automatico al volante. L'impressione immediata alla guida è quella di strisciare sull'asfalto e di guidare un go-kart! L'aderenza è totale, lo sterzo preciso, l'elettronica efficace. l'impianto frenante più che adeguato; il cambio automatico fa si che i freni subiscano di più, rispetto ad un manuale, il moto inerziale. Comunque, i 13 minuti di tempo impiegati per coprire il percorso più o meno 18 km) sono la dimostrazione netta che è un'auto che non teme di essere messa in pista e fare la sua perfomance di sportiva purosangue; è anche reattiva e brillante, per nulla sofferente, nei percorsi cittadini. I suoi consumi, legati anche alle gomme non totalmente sportive, Bridgestone Potenza S001 su cerchio da 17", sono più che onorevoli atteso l'impiego poco "urbano" della Z4 durante tutto il percorso di prova: si sono attestati su 8,9 km/l. L'assetto regolabile elettronicamente dal pilota durante la marcia è la ciliegina sulla torta! Che dire: veicolo stupendo...vero oggetto del desiderio!

Happy Thanksgiving! I decided to brine a turkey using my favorite recipe and I included the recipe for you to use as well. Ingredients: 5 cups Apple Cider 1 cup Kosher Salt 1/2 cup Sugar 4 Stalks Celery- cut into 4 inch pieces 3 Carrots- cut into 4 inch pieces 3 Oranges- cut into chunks 2 small onions- cut into chunks 6 sprigs fresh sage 6 sprigs fresh thyme 4 bay leaves 1 Turkey ~2 gallons cold water 2 cups white wine 1. Heat 3 cups of cider, salt and sugar in large pot until salt and sugar dissolve. 2. Remove from heat- stir in remaining cider, carrots, celery, oranges, onions, sage, thyme and bay leaves. Let cool 15 minutes. 3.Remove giblets from turkey and place the turkey in a container large enough to hold in and the brine. 4. Add the cider mixture, water and wine making sure the whole turkey is covered. 5. Keep cold and let sit for 1-2 days. 6. When ready to cook the turkey remove from brine and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. 6. Bake at 450° for 30 minutes then reduce to 350° until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°. 7. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving. Enjoy!
