Our time at the Lauderdale Marine Center is finished, and we are heading down the New River toward the ocean. This was a lot less stressful a trip than the way up. Almost no big boat traffic to contend with.

We started our day out cleaning out the truck. Then spent the rest of the day roaming around the Lenox Mall and the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, even got lost once. Thanks to all you we were able to make it to more than our goal of 10 and we hit 12 subscribers now! Next goal is 50 subscribers. I lost some of what we filmed because for some reason there wasn't any sound. We have so much to learn. This is my first sail in my 10ft 2 sheet plywood dinghy Duo. Great to test it in the warm, crystal clear waters of the Bahamas! As you can see, I am missing a sail batten (in short supply on powerboats!) and I still need to sort out the oar storage when sailing. After the video shoot I went off for a couple of hours sailing around. Some Footage from the 2016, 30th King's Cup Regatta last week. During the first day's strong winds we were able to show case the majority of the Rapido's expected performance in Phuket with two 1st place finishes. Unfortunately the wind dropped for the rest of the regatta, but the team still managed a Podium finish, and captured some great footage during the week.

This was a very interesting project, On my way back from Vietnam, I dropped into Batam Island off the coast of Sumatra, to film a friends brand new amazing carbon fibre yacht he had just built. Literally a week or two old. TALK ABOUT FAST ! Stable and so easy to sail ! It's very much the cruising boat of the future, I didn't have all my normal crew or cameras with me and decided to shoot this on a tiny SONY A7s, which was pretty much useless when shooting from a dingy in rough water. I asked my son to purchase a little DJI OSMO for a bit of fun and to bring it up with him (which ended being a life saver) And we also we asked a DJI drone crew to come in from Jakarta to help out as well. The stability results from these little DJI cameras were outstanding ! The RAPIDO TRIMARAN people were more than happy with the end result. :) And me being a very fussy camera nerd... was blown away ! Will these little toy cameras replace my RED CAMERAS... No. But I have to say, they were the perfect tools for this project.
