Dominica is a true rainforest paradise! We loved this place and after arriving to the capital Rosseau we got welcomed by the carnival. But enough dancing on the streets for us because we wanted to see more of this lush jungle island. The rainforest offered lots of waterfalls and good hiking but the BEST was swimming in a volcanic gorge and bathing in natural hot springs!!! We didn't want to leave the warm water but when our skin was looking like raisins it was time. Do not miss this green pearl of the Caribbean! We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built aluminium Beason 40, and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started to sail south along the coast of Europe. We made a separate trip to Target beforehand to grab a couple plastic items, and we bought a few single use package items at PCC too. I've made a few other videos like this, where I show you our shopping trip and what I buy without packaging. I've been doing these trips every few weeks to stock up on staple items (usually at Whole Foods), supplementing with Amazon Fresh and our local grocery stores (that don't have bulk bins as an option). We were anxious to see this country again, to see their culture, smell their offerings, drink some balinese kope, go to kitesurf in Sanur, surf in Canggu... HI EVERYONE: We are a catamaran sailing around the world. PART 1. LITHIUM BATTERY INSTALLATION FOR IMPI In this series we are doing something different, and mostly because our followers on You Tube have requested us to do so on a number of occasions, so - we are going to look at the technical side of Impi, and in our first instance our recent installation of Lithium batteries, some options other than lithium batteries and more. Now folks, please know first and foremost that I am not an electrician - I have merely had to help myself along the way due to the remote destinations we sail in. Well here in Australia we discovered the talent to assist us to switch from AGM to Lithium. I have to ask you to watch the video as one ordinary sailor to the next and to be tolerant of my electrical terminology, or lack thereof. We hope this series will be basic enough to share what we have done on Impi, the considerations that went into our system and also our various charging systems and how they feature within the system.
