After what felt like forever, but was actually only a few years of planning (and saving money); then, after six months of shopping and viewing boats we found the right boat for us. This Island Packet 27 is a dream. It was a top brand choice for us and when we saw this boat we knew it had to work out. The owner we bought it from, Jeff, was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and took excellent care of this boat. It should be an easy transition onto the boat, with minimal work to be done. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, City of Miami Fire Rescue, Coast Guard and Miami Dade Police all responding to a liveaboard sailboat fire. The boat has been moored near Belle Isle for about a year and I regularly see the owner on it. Hope he wasn't today. I don't believe so though. No dinghy was tied to the boat. It still will be awful for him though as he lost his home.
