ITA Una delle nostre barche doveva andare in cantiere in un capannone. Ci siamo inventato un metodo per disalberare la barca prima di portarla in cantiere. Abbiamo usato le nostre altre barche per fare da "capra". Come era la prima volta che lo facevamo, abbiamo fatto con calma ma in 25 minuti abbiamo preparato tutto e messo l'albero in terra. Vuole dire che la prossima volta saremmo molto efficiente. Comunque è stato semplice e del tutto comodo...lo consiglio. Però in 3, per essere tranquilli! FRA Un de nos bateaux a dû aller au dans un hangar. Nous nous sommes inventé une méthode pour démâter le bateau avant de l'amener au chantier. Nous avons utilisé nos autres bateaux comme "chèvres". Comme c'était la première fois que nous le faisions, nous l'avons fait calmement mais en 25 minutes nous avons tout préparé et posé le mat par terre. Cela signifie que la prochaine fois nous serons très efficaces. Cependant c'était simple et complètement confortable ... Je le recommande. Mais a faire à 3, pour être tranquille! ENG One of our boats had to go to the yard in a shed. We invented a method to dismasted before bringing it to the yard. We used our other goat boats as "goat". As it was the first time we did it, we did it calmly but in 25 minutes we prepared everything and put the tree on the dock. It means that next time we would be very efficient. After years of dreaming we finally get our boat! Teasy is in France to take care of comissioning and preparation for the Atlantic Passage. Brad graciously offered to hold down the fort at home. This time alone with the boat gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to eventually master the ship with my family on board. Woohoo! We made it through the famous Corinth Canal - Greece. The canal is 8m deep and excavated at sea level so it doesn’t need any locks. It took them 12 years to make it and it was first opened in 1893. The canal shaves off a 700km journey around the Peloponnese peninsula and around 11,000 ships pass through each year, mostly small vessels that can handle the narrowness and are able to dodge the result of landslides the sit under the surface. Aproveitamos para fazer a trilha ate a Gruta do Acaia, pois o acesso de barco não é tao simples, normalmente tem que casar tempo bom e mar calmo ... a gruta é maravilhosa e nos despertou sentimentos únicos, aquela agua batendo forte, e voce "preso" na gruta, algo inexplicável, a natureza de fato comando tudo !! The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. When I recorded this video the PNW was experiencing some really dark days right around Thanksgiving. This week we've been grateful to be in the sun. However, as Cliff Mass writes on his blog, this is part of the weather that has cause the California fires. Regardless of the sun being out or not, finding ways to live well during the cold and short days is a daily practice over here. As I point out in the video, Denmark is no longer the "happiest country" as of 2017. This year, Norway has taken that spot.
