** NOW SOLD ** Gaelforce is a 2011 Dufour Grand Large 375. This is a very well presenting 37 foot quick cruising yacht which has been quality crafted by a well respected manufacturer. Dufour have been building cruising yachts in France for over 50 years and their quality and experience shines through on this 375 Grand Large. Gaelforce is the two cabin version offering two good sized doubles cabins, a practical galley with massive refrigeration, a large head with separate shower stall, a dedicated nav station plus excellent storage garage accessed internally via the bathroom and also via the cockpit. The saloon table lowers to offer an additional double berth. Instruments are by Raymarine and include a chart plotter at the starboard helm plus an underdeck hydraulic auto-pilot. The modern cockpit includes twin wheel steering, easy to use swim / boarding platform with swim ladder, H&C cockpit shower, and a beautiful cockpit table. Genoa sheets are easily controlled via the helms. The Volvo engine was upgraded on original order to the 40Hp option with three blade folding propeller. Gaelforce has only logged around 480 engine hours. Her family owners have enjoyed sailing on Pittwater and also have completed the ever important east coast adventure to the Whitsundays.

How To Do A Halyard Swing Halyard Swings are dangerous, so we can't recommend doing them. However, they are also fun AF so if you really want to try one, watch this episode to find tips on how to do them safely. 1. Don't use your own boat. In this case, Marco used his boss's boat (thanks James); 2. Get yourself to an awesome location. Marco chose Necker Island, home to billionaire and all-round legend Sir Richard Branson. Now onto the technique. 1. Find out which side your halyard favours, and use that side to conduct the swings; 2. Attach a big fat fender to the end of the halyard. Have person sit on said fender; 3. Get some momentum up, take your boat to 80% of max revs; 4. Whip the wheel over. In this case, with halyard on port, we would whip wheel over to stbd; 5. When the stern starts kicking to port, the person on the fender needs to jump out; 6. Forward momentum turns into sideways momentum as person starts swinging out; 7. LET GO before swinging back onto the vessel; Dangers here include (but aren't limited to) the following: 1. If swinger kicks off too early, the boat will kick towards them and they will hit it; 2. If swinger lets go too late, s/he may swing around and hit the bow of the boat. 3. Helm changes from forward to reverse too quickly, crunching the transmission. 4. Watch for other boats in the area. Make sure you're on your own. Aside from a decent crown of onlookers, naturally. Don't be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol (serious). Even if that's when you feel most inspired to do it. Then we swing some halyards. SEASON 6 / The Haul Out : Episode #119 : Bottom Preparations On this episode we get into the fun and brutal task of sanding the bottom. We had wanted to water blast the bottom down to gel coat or fiberglass but that is something that has to be done by the yard for environmental reasons and we had no were near the budget for such a task so we chipped off all the loose bits and sanded the entire bottom. I also show you how I went about filling the old knot meter hole on the boat with G10 fiberglass board. If you don't know about G10 you should look into it, this stuff is magic! John and I left Texas as the corona virus started to sneak attack our country, When we returned, the Grocery stores were cleared, Cities were closing down, Food and Beverage is by delivery only and our social Medias were being blasted by the reality of this dangerous strand.
