Here's some footage of the first few months of us owning sailing yacht "Hiraeth". The 1987, Wauquiez Centurion 42, hull #30. We purchased her from Almere in the Netherlands in January 2020 and were planning to take her to Poole in the UK to get some work done, before setting off to Scotland and Norway for the summer. With the Covid-19 outbreak, and everywhere starting to lockdown. our plans quickly changed, and so we made a dash for it to Lowestoft on the east coast of England. We'd only sailed the boat 3 times (motoring through canals, doesn't really count) and were a little nervous about sailing across the north sea in what was still (well..... technically) winter.

After months of cruising with contaminated fuel tanks, we finally arrive in Puerto Rico where we can get materials needed to access and clean the diesel fuel tanks. According to the Volvo Penta manual you must check your injection nozzels every 400 hour or 2. year. My engine has 800 hours on it's clock and the nozzels has never ben checked. I have made two parts so the videos don't get to long, the second part is regarding the installation.

Hi guys, a few days ago we got an email informing us that the charter company no longer want's any of it's boats listed in the company. What this means for us is that we have to pay the VAT on the boat in Sweden or find a way to keep the boat VAT free. Unfortunately we did not plan for this at this time as we expected the boat to come out of charter in 5 years and then we would pay the VAT. To cut a long story short if we cannot find the VAT money, which in Sweden is 25% of the boat value as it is now, we will be forced to sell the boat. Let's hope we can raise the money.

Il Golgo è un posto magico…. Un altopiano nel Supramonte di Baunei dove il tempo appare fermo. Da qui inizia un sentiero che porta alla splendida Cala Goloritzè, una delle più affascinanti di tutta la Sardegna; qui una guglia impressionante sovrasta la spiaggia di ciottoli bianchi e un mare incredibilmente turchese e trasparente. La prima volta, ormai quasi vent’anni fa, sono arrivato qui in barca e me ne sono innamorato a tal punto da farla diventare il mio posto speciale. Non sono più andato via, ho preso un posto barca a Santa Maria Navarrese e appena posso mollo tutto e mi immergo in questo paradiso. Oltre che dal mare Cala Goloritzè si può raggiungere soltanto con il sentiero che parte dal Golgo. È un trekking facile che si percorre in un paio d’ore con un dislivello di circa 400 metri. Nei 4 minuti del video ho raccolto alcune foto che raccontano questo piccolo universo. Un assaggio del più impegnativo “selvaggio Blu”, un trekking che dura 7 giorni e unisce il cielo e il mare dell’Ogliastra. Sante Marino
