This time I have a alternator from a Nanni marine diesel, it is the same Valeo model as on a lot of Volvo Penta engines. The charge light is on and the alternator gives no voltage to the batteries so I'll like to find out why it doesn't work. Regarding the voltage regulator it starts charging at 850 rpm. and reach it's max output at 2000 rpm. At 850 rpm idle the voltage must be around 13.5-14 Volts and the charging Amps must be around 2-3Amp on a near full battery. If the voltage is over 15 Volts at 2000 rpm. the rectifier is overcharging and is then faulty. 50A rectifier from ebay : 42 US Dollars

That was necessary! On the 17th of April 2020 we left marina Port Ghalib in Egypt, heading south towards Sudan and Djibouti and finally Maldives. We will take it easy, enjoy the beautiful reefs of the red sea and keep an eye on the corona regulations of the ports we pass. Since many countries are closed we don't know where we will be allowed to go on land again, but we can survive 4 month without seeing anybody :) This journey is only a small part of our trip that started 2 years ago. It's March, 2020, and it's Therese and Cory's birthdays!! Vinyasa and Wildly Intrepid sail us to Staniel Cay and Big Major. COVID-19 is making us anxious about provisioning in the BAHAMAS, but we take advantage of the possibilities in Staniel Cay to use Alfred (our dinghy) to go to land to stock up for the celebration and the next few weeks! Although we have yet to experience the extent of the virus, we get our first reality check. Cody goes freediving, and Therese gets a channel clinging crab for her birthday, we check out Thunderball Grotto, an amazing underwater cave, and tell a story about time. Cory and Alex (Wildly Intrepid Sailing) serve pancakes and amazing Canadian maple syrup for Cory's birthday breakfast, and we head out to explore before dinner with awesome crab-lobster-salad-rolls!!! In this video, Buzzfeed producer Erin Phraner shares her crazy recipe hack for Tomato Soup Cake! No, it’s not a joke. It’s like the easiest carrot cake ever—no grating required. Would you try this?? TOMATO SOUP CAKE For the cake… 2 cup all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 4 teaspoons cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 1 (10.75oz) can tomato soup 2 large eggs 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup melted Crisco, cooled For the frosting… 1 stick (8 TBSP) butter, softened 1 block (8oz) cream cheese, softened 1 (16oz) box confectioners’ sugar 1. Make the cake: Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Butter & flour 2 cake pans. 2. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon & salt until combined. 3. Add the tomato soup, eggs, water and Crisco. Whisk or beat with an electric mixer until smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Divide batter among the prepared pans. 4. Bake about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean & the cakes spring back when pressed slightly. Let cool in the pans for 2 minutes, then turn out onto a cooler rack to cool completely. 5. Meanwhile, make the frosting: Beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth & combined. With the mixer on low, slowly add the confectioners’ sugar (a scoop at a time) until incorporated. 6. Layer and frost the cake with your cream cheese frosting. Ask people if they can taste the tomato soup!! (I bet they won’t be able to) xo

Dushanbe meaning Monday in Persian, Dushanbe is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. It was named this way because it grew from a village that originally had a popular market on Mondays. Historically a small village, Dushanbe was made the capital of the Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1924. Until 1929, the city was known in Russian as Dyushambe, and from 1929 to 1961 as Stalinabad. i Spent 3 days in Dushanbe and visit almost all top attraction. His reign saw the emergence of the Samanids as a powerful force.He was the son of Ahmad ibn Asad and a descendant of Saman Khuda, the eponymous ancestor of the Samanid dynasty who renounced Zoroastrianism and embraced Islam. Abu 'Abd Allāh Ja'far ibn Muḥammad al-Rudhaki born c. 859, Rudaki, Khorasan—died 940/941, better known as Rudaki, and also known as "Adam of Poets" , was a Persian poet regarded as the first great literary genius of the Modern Persian language. Rudaki composed poems in the‌ modern Persian alphabet and is considered a founder of classical Persian literature. His poetry contains many of the oldest genres of Persian poetry including the quatrain,however, only a small percentage of his extensive poetry has survived. Family travel vlog, our preparation of our road trip during Corona to Turkey - to our sailing yacht Perfect Sense, sailing family! This week we did a health test and Gerben wrecked the Land Rover | it was definitely a week with ups & downs and still stuck in the Netherlands. We got back the results of a health test - genetics, blood & urine. The health test is from Anocora.health - a startup of friends. We did the test in the beta fase and now they even developed it further - start ups are amazing and so quickly developing and changing. We love it and definitely see some resemblance with our lifestyle :) Health is a very important part in our lives and for us definitely one of the essentials to be able to pursue the life of our dreams. We decided a couple of years ago to be very conscious about our health: good and plant based foods (with here and there a guilty pleasure...no one is perfect), meditation, exercise etc. As Gerben had cancer and heavy chemo in the past & I (Rianne) wasn’t that strict with exercising after the birth of Benjamin we both were a little bit anxious about the results. Next to the test we did our first wild camping experiences, we thought lets practice a little bit before we start upgrading the Land Rover and start our road trip towards Turkey at the end of May. Driving across Europe towards Turkey during Corona is something we definitely want to do prepared. Hope you enjoy this one and we can’t wait to show you more traveling footage and more of our ‘normal’ lifestyle. We get stateside and after an additional 7 days in quarantine Tarka seems so relived that she lets herself go completely. Everything breaks as we are sailing on the outside of the Florida Keys' reefs and we try to mend her as best we can to get to a friend's slip, but it just doesn't work out for us. Our propane also runs out and we're running low on food since we weren't able to provision properly due to COVID-19 shut downs.
