De Partnachklamm ligt ten zuidoosten van Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in het Duitse Beieren. De kloof is ruim 700 meter lang en heeft rotswanden van 80 meter hoog. De Partnach rivier voert smeltwater van gletsjers mee wat zorgt voor een kolkende watermassa in de smalle doorgang. Het water is afkomstig van de gletsjers op de Zugspitze.

As a good Captain, Rick was going through Salacia's check list & one thing was to check the oil on the generator. It has not worked since that day, this is nearly 2 months ago. We are going into a marina for one month when we get to Spain & will have it all check out then. Will be interested to find out the diagnosis. Galaxy of Happiness is a 53 m / 173′11″ luxury motor yacht. She was built by Latitude Yachts in 2016. She has a GRP hull and GRP superstructure. She is powered by MTU engines of 1300 hp each giving her a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. Co-skipper Will Harris explains the different route options the skippers can take in order to arrive to Cape of Good Hope as fast as possible. As you can see it is quite a complicated situation for the fleet and it's going to be some big decisions ahead.
