We went to Newtown Creek to hide from strong winds and spent a few days there but as we were there UK went into lockdown and we couldn’t leave the island. We spent about a month on the island and we used the opportunity to explore. On this video we take you on a little walk from Newtown Creek to Yarmouth which is a town, port and civil parish in the west of the Isle of Wight. The town is named for its location at the mouth of the small Western Yar river. After a very muddy walk we explored the town and got some diesel. We went to Ryde where we could see the extent of Ryde Sands as we got there on low tide. And finally we went to Ventnor a seaside resort and civil parish established in the Victorian era on the southeast coast of the island, built on steep slopes leading down to the sea. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we walked to Steephill Cove, a traditional, unspoilt fishing cove with a safe, sandy beach, nestled between rocky cliffs and smugglers' coves. This adventure takes us from the Blueridge Parkway through Lynchburg where we hiked the Point of Honor Trail and the trail of Occoneechee State Park. From there we drove to the Outer Banks for some much needed beach and fishing time. The Red Drum and Pompano made a great dinner. After catching more than a dozen huge crabs from the Mattamuskeet Lake, we made a quick run to Deltaville, VA to share our bounty with old friends. Finally, on our way back to New Bern, NC we wanted to visit the small town that welcome boaters for visits.

Grouper was one of the first fish I ate when I started getting big into seafood about four years ago. Chef notes: Normally when I cook I marinate whatever I’m cooking in a liquid marinade. Last night when I did my grouper I didn’t do that, I only used olive oil and used my mix of seasonings. It was still very delicious, but next time, I plan on using some sort of liquid marinade along with my mix of seasonings. 1 Grouper Filet Jalapeño Red Onion Tomato Leaf Lettuce Buns Mayo & Hot sauce (I used Jalapeño hot sauce)

Este es un ejemplo de estos barcos, rápidos cómodos y fáciles de manejar. Con 13 a 14 nudos de viento real, descuartelado por proa, el barco alcanza casi los 9 nudos, sin mostrar esfuerzo alguno. La escora mantenida entre 4 a 5 grados, gracias a ese pantoque que clava el ángulo de inclinación aumentando el par adrizante del barco.

In this episode we sail out to Bjorskär and then onto the furthest islands out East... Svenska Högarna. We had a little drama in the anchorage when we got there when someone tail gated us and because they knew the anchorage better than we did, basically they pushed their way in behind us almost trapping us in a very narrow channel, not great! It didn't stop us from having a good time though and it was a beautiful spot we found. Hope you enjoy the video. Cheers

Pumping (trimming and easing on waves) is a technique used downwind. The racing rules of sailing allows us to perform one pump per wave, so being able to pump well and correctly is an important skill as you can make many small gains per wave on the downwind leg of a course.
