On fait une petite sortie pour apporter notre futur catamaran Maia à la Panamarina puisque les propriétaires retournent au Québec et nous n’avons pas payé la totalité du catamaran. Il nous reste donc 1 semaine pour trouver tous les fonds, sinon on perd notre dépôt de 40 000 $. Pierre-Alexandre retourne également au Québec vendre ses biens. On annonce ensuite les façons créatives qu’on a trouvées pour pouvoir se permettre le catamaran de nos rêves, même si on n’a pas les moyens. Marijke and Jaap Mulder have spent their adult lives largely at sea having extensive passage experience and being long term live-aboards in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Japan. Even when they tour on land they inhabit a camper van, another tiny space. In their early twenties they built a boat, set sail across the Atlantic with limited experience and learning along the way, including the sextant, with the view of connecting with Jaap`s Sister and her husband who were also building a boat in NZ. Eventually they were able to find each other in Fiji and after cruising together as buddy boats for a month they made their way to NZ where they heard about a sponsored Yacht Race from Auckland to Fukuoka Japan. Everybody is feeling the Cheers package the next morning. Tim and Amanda get water shuttle passes before getting breakfast. We board the water shuttle before embarking to the beautiful island of Half Moon Cay. Tim shows off some of the souvenir shops before the group reunites on the beach.
