We are an Aussie couple with a dream to sail and scuba dive around the world. We bought our Beneteau Oceanis 430 in October 2023 with zero sailing experience but the belief that we can do this. We have filmed our journey from looking for boats, buying the boat, downsizing so we can liveaboard and all the messy wonderful life stuff in between. Join us now as we continue our ten day journey to sail our boat home from Townsville to Brisbane Queensland Australia. After a first day of sailing that lasted over 24hrs due to instrument failure we were stranded in Airlie Beach waiting for a marine electrician to look at the boat. With a new instrument panel installed we continue our sail back to Brisbane Queensland Australia. Day four saw us sailing from Airlie Beach to Shaw Island. Now with a major weather system on the way up the coast we must continue South with a 48hr sailing passage from Shaw Island to Bundaberg. On the way we experience epic sunrises and sunsets on the ocean, spot our first dolphins and continue our sailing education. We tackle navigating our sailboat through shipping channels in the middle of the night and experience our first day on our sail boat powered by sails only for a full day. Our sailing learning curve is steep so come along with us as we learn and grow as liveaboard sailors.

Exploring the Magnificent Canal Rocks in Yallingup If you're seeking a picturesque adventure along the stunning coastline of Western Australia, look no further than Canal Rocks in Yallingup. This natural wonder, shaped by time and the powerful forces of nature, offers a fascinating blend of history, geology, and underwater beauty that will leave you in awe. Canal Rocks holds a rich history that dates back centuries. Originally formed through the gradual erosion of the ancient granite coastline, these iconic rock formations have served as a navigational landmark for sailors and fishermen for generations. The name "Canal Rocks" is derived from the narrow channels and canals that have been carved out by the relentless pounding of the waves, creating a mesmerizing interplay of land and sea. Geologically speaking, Canal Rocks is a prime example of the stunning rock formations that grace the southwestern coast of Australia. Composed primarily of hard, resistant granite, these rocks have withstood the test of time and remain standing as a testament to the forces of erosion and weathering. For those with a sense of adventure, Canal Rocks also holds a hidden gem beneath the surface – the Aquarium. This natural rock pool, formed by the flow of the tides, is a haven for marine life and a popular spot for diving and swimming.

Another epic day diving at Niihau thanks to Sea Sport Divers. Of course we had an amazing time diving with the Hawaiian Monk Seals, Sandbar Sharks, and countless butterflyfishes! This day however we also came across an incredibly rare fish called the Humpback Snapper (seen at 1:15). This fish was introduced in the 1950s but didn't seem to take much of a hold in Hawaii. Last summer was the first time Anthony and I had ever seen this fish! This was only the second time we've come across this fish and it was in a different location. So very cool!

This is HH#1 (Hull Half #1) process to start a hull half. The process is called Shiny Side Down placing the material down onto the prepared surface then adding foam and vacuum bagging down. This creates a smooth finish for this mid-section of each hull half. It is then placed into the mold shiny side down and zip tied to the mold to hold its shape.

Day 2 of the Catamaran Guru Rendezvous 2025 brought out the big laughs, bigger splashes, and a whole lot of Hooligan Juice! 🌴☀️🍹 Welcome to the iconic Tahiti Beach in the Abacos, where our crew and guests traded sails for umbrellas, helmets, and floaties for a day packed with tropical fun proudly sponsored by Lagoon Catamarans. 🏖️ Rumbrella Races: The morning kicked off with one of the most hilarious and entertaining traditions of the Rendezvous — the Lagoon Rumbrella Races! Guests grabbed their paddles, hopped onto pool floats, paddleboards, or any seaworthy inflatable they could find, and set out to “sail” across the water using nothing but beach umbrellas and raw determination. Whether gliding, spinning in circles, or tipping over in laughter, it was a sight you won’t soon forget. Lagoon Catamarans supplied the umbrellas and the bragging rights! 🥥 Coconut Toss: Next up: helmets on, gloves ready, and eyes to the sky! In the Coconut Toss, teams tried to catch (yes, catch!) flying coconuts on the beach in a contest that combined reflexes, chaos, and plenty of giggles. A perfect mix of beach games and Bahamian sunshine. 🍔 Thirsty Cuda Beach BBQ: While games were underway, The Thirsty Cuda beach grill served up mouthwatering island-style burgers right on the sand — from classic beef to cracked conch burgers and delicious veggie options, keeping everyone well-fed and ready for more fun in the sun. This is what the Catamaran Guru Rendezvous is all about: a community of sailing lovers coming together to celebrate the cruising lifestyle with joy, learning, and shared experience — whether you're aboard a Bali, a Lagoon, or your favorite floatie. 👉 If you missed this year’s Rendezvous, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered with full video coverage of the action. After nine months exploring New Caledonia, we set sail once again — this time across open ocean to Vanuatu. This video shares the experience of what it’s like to be back at sea after so long behind the reef. From the calm of the lagoon to the motion of the open Pacific, we reflect on the emotions, nerves, and moments of quiet beauty that come with ocean sailing. The long hours, the unpredictability of the sea, the salt crusted over everything, and the simple act of watching waves roll by — this is life at sea in its most honest form. Whether you’re a fellow sailor or someone who’s never set foot on a boat, this episode is a window into what it truly feels like to live by wind and water. We hope you enjoy it! To learn more about "La Belle Classe Academy": https://labelleclasseacademy.com/ Just after the Palm Beach Boat Show, there has been no shortage of talking points in the yachting world. In this vlog, Katia Damborsky and I sit down to discuss some of the biggest recent headlines, including the announcement of a new 82-metre Bilgin superyacht, reportedly commissioned by one of the most recognisable repeat yacht owners in the industry. We also look at what this project means for Bilgin as a shipyard, and why the relationship between owner and builder matters so much on a new build of this scale. We also chat about: • the new Abeking & Rasmussen concept with Reymond Langton • Carlos Alcaraz buying a new Sunreef power catamaran • the first look at the former Flying Fox after her quiet sale and repaint • viewer questions about yacht charter tipping and why those figures are often misunderstood • what we have coming up next on the channel, including new yacht tours and behind-the-scenes projects As always, the aim is to go a little deeper than the headline and give some real industry perspective from people who work in this world every day. If you enjoy yacht news, superyacht insight, and conversations that go beyond the obvious, this one is for you.
