Helicopter braves extreme North Sea conditions to land on moving ship | Latest News The Danish Air Force navigated a new helicopter's landing on a warship under extreme weather conditions in the North Atlantic on Friday. The pilots landed the Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopter on a navy patrol vessel around the Faroe Islands, between Norway and Iceland. The landing was the final competence test for the Danish Air Force pilots, who had waited three weeks for the weather to be suitably rough to pose a real challenge. The Danish Air Force received three choppers in June and will have another six delivered in 2018. Each machine reportedly costs $686 million (?647.29 million), including the price of logistical support. There has never been a dull moment, the competition has always been tight and the results open until the very end. It was the closest finish in the history of the race, and marked the first victory for a Chinese-flagged team. As the ultimate test of a team in sport, the 13th edition of the race delivered challenges, emotions, and highs and lows to all the sailors and teams. We continue to explore the Isle of Bute and find our way into the grounds of Mount Stuart House during lock down. It was like entering a secret garden, we spent several hours there and did not see a soul. I find some of the biggest starfish I have ever seen. We sail yacht seagull to Holy Loch Marina and visit the Argyll Smokery, a very happy moment in Alan's day. The smoked mussels are not to be missed. Finally a very happy afternoon is spent climbing the hillsides of Benmoore Botanical Gardens near Dunoon. A reflection of our time so far and how lucky we feel to be living this sailing dream. I believe we have the best neighbors and own our home in the best neighborhood in the world! Our neighborhood is surrounded by a State Park; wow, what a treat. Lots of outdoor activities, scenery, etc. When not sailing, this is our home base; we love it.

Los nuevos diseños, en que las mangas máximas se atrasan, se consiguen grandes popas, amplias bañeras, y con los diseños con ligero pantoque vivo aprovechan al máximo los espacios interiores. Este es un ejemplo de estos barcos, rápidos cómodos y fáciles de manejar. Con 13 a 14 nudos de viento real, descuartelado por proa, el barco alcanza casi los 9 nudos, sin mostrar esfuerzo alguno. La escora mantenida entre 4 a 5 grados, gracias a ese pantoque que clava el ángulo de inclinación aumentando el par adrizante del barco.

Jun 2017: bei unserem 1. Segeltörn hatten wir das riesen Glück inmitten einer Delphinschule zu segeln. Die Delphine schwammen auf uns zu, unter unserem Schiff durch und sprangen neben aus dem Wasser. Es war einfach phantastisch, großartig, beeindrucken und wunderschön !!! Wir beobachteten dabei auch einen Delfin mit einer Plastiktüte über dem Kopf. Wir überlegten schon, rein zu springen und ihm zu helfen! Zu unserer großen Freude bekam er sie irgendwie ab. Und zu unserem großen Erstaunen schwamm er wieder zu ihr hin um weiter mit ihr zu "spielen". Das alles 15m von uns entfernt. Auch sahen wir eine Mutter mit ihrem Kalb ... Wir hatten ein riesen Glück !!! Es war übrigens vor Pula. Hier geht´s zum ganzen Törn, den ich als frischgebackene SKS-lerin mit meinen Jungs erstmalig wagte. Vlog #37 We sailed into Punta Perula and headed into townto check it out and stock up the veggie pile. They are totally rebuilding the Malecon. it was looking very beautiful. The town is small but very friendly. we got some fresh veggies and fresh pressed juice made. We went for a quick snorkel and I had to run out because I saw toooo mannnyyy sneeesnakes. they freak me out! Then we headed over to the islands and hung out on the beaches which we pretty much had all to ourselves. The water was amazingly clear and beautiful! Die ANASTASIA von Skipper René Stein ist eine 48 Fuss Ketsch. Wir segeln in einem Wochentörn von Heiligenhafen über Gedser, Klintholm, Kloster, Barhöft und Warnemünde zurück nach Heiligenhafen. Ein sehr schöner Törn, ein toller Skipper, den ich zum ersten Mal kennengelernt habe. In diesem Teil seht Ihr Bilder aus der ersten vier Tage der Tour, in denen wir uns als neue Crew vertraut machen konnten mit den Schiff. Die Kombination aus Gross und Besan, zusammen mit einem großen Gennaker, war für uns neu, interessant und hat mich persönlich für die Ketsch eingenommen! Viele sagen ja, die Ketsch ist etwas umständlich, die Performance ist nicht besser oder sogar schlechter als bei einer Slup - ich sehe das nicht so, zum Beispiel ist das Segeln bei achterlichem Wind mit nur dem Gennaker und dem Besansegel eine echte Freude. Ob wir nun schneller oder langsamer als eine Slup sind, ist mir persönlich auch relativ egal; viel wichtiger finde ich die Stabilität des Systems, die Variabilität und, ich gebe es gerne zu, das Aussehen. Zwei Masten, und dann noch mit einem blauen Rumpf, sehen einfach toll aus :) Aber schreibe mir doch gerne in die Kommentare, wie du das siehst. Ich besitze ja kein eigenes Schiff und habe auch noch nicht so viele Vergleichsmöglichkeiten.
