We had the opportunity to discover the latest model from Wave, a 58 footer which we were able to take for a sail before her departure for the Caribbean. Wave Catamarans was set up in 2010 in Szczecin, Poland’s third-largest port, which is open to the Baltic Sea via the Oder River. Zbigniew Lodyga (head of the design team) and Bartosz Puchowski are the founders and owners. The specifications, and the philosophy, of this boat have been developed in association with Mieczyslaw Szwed, naval architect and experienced sailor. The construction has been carried out in partnership with Bartosz Puchowski and Tomasz Gackoski, composite specialists. Both of the models that they have built have been one-offs, constructed in airex/epoxy sandwich, and the yard’s aim has been to build a production model without using female moulds. The team at Wave have been asked to save half a tonne of weight on the next boat. From the sections we could see, we observed a very high standard of composite fabrication. ** NOW SOLD ** SALAR 40 - SCYLLA This 1989 Salar 40 is now exclusively for sale with YOTI Melbourne. http://www.yoti.com.au/listing/salar-40-scylla-2 The Salar 40 is much sort after blue water cruising yacht renowned for its superb sea worthiness and superior build quality. Scylla was constructed in Queensland in 1989 but has just gone through a massive $80,000.00 refit. The mast and boom were stripped and repainted, all the standing rigging replaced and most of the running as well. Whilst off the boat the mast was rewired and new antennae and lights fitted. The dated instruments were replaced with top of the range Raymarine devices. During a recent antifoul all the thru hull fittings were replaced along with a new stern gland. Down stairs virtually all the wiring was replaced along with new electronic refrigeration system and internal LED lighting. During a recent engine service both fuel tanks were flushed and cleaned. Scylla is the sloop version of the Salar 40 with a large owners cabin to rear which has its own shower and head as well as the forward facing nav station. Within the main cabin is another enclosed shower and head, in-line galley and two further double berths. Scylla is ready to go anywhere in the world with her new owner in great comfort and safety. We finish filling and fairing all of our hull blisters, I play a great joke on the kids, get the prop tuned up with some muriatic acid, and finish up numerous other things on Rad Mode before leaving Ladd's Marina to head back down river. To explore another island in Guadeloupe group we sailed over to Les Saintes - an island of goats. Yes, every single place we visited, goats were there. We have stayed down there for 4 days and saw sun and blue sky only for a half day. It was enough to see how 3rd most beautiful bay in the world looks like. Sailing from Sydney to Port Stephens, we take shelter from Ex Tropical Cyclone Debbie and a very strong frontal system that passed over us at the same time. We stopped in the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park, the history unfolds as we filmed this video.

We sail from Port Stephens to somewhere up North, stopping at many different locations along the way. We become River Boat Pirates as we head up the mighty Clarence River and explore the Scottish Heritage town of Maclean, love this place.

I cover all the windows with reflectix panels I made for insulation, I turn my fantastic sucking air out on max (replaces all the air in the van every 90 seconds). I crack one window in a shaddy lower part of the van to create a consistent airflow. Other than that the fiberglass roof and insulation do a fantastic job of keeping the heat out. In colder climates I set the furnace on at minimum and close down all the windows same as for heat minus venting. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go seperate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharring my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time.

It is finally done! Muahahahaha (evil laugh)... The painting is finally done! After 9 weeks of work, removing all our old Petit (2 part EZ Poxy) paint, building up layer after layer of primer, and trying my hand at Awl Grip for the first time, our paint on the cabin top and cockpit is now complete. 3 coats overall, and she's looking good! We also had the travel lift come to hoist us up a few feet so we could reblock to be able to remove the old paint and put new paint where the blocks had been sitting. The centerboard also gets removed for our painting...and it's our first chance ever to see it! Cheers from the work yard! Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons.
