If you visit Palawan, do not miss a tour on the longest navigable cave in the world. It is also one of the NEW wonders of the world. You can either take a day tour departing from Puerto Princesa: it will take about 2h to get to Sabang on the west coast of Palawan. From there you will have a short boat ride (10min) to the beach and the departing point on the river. Regular tours are about 45min and cover 1,5km of river. If you are keen of exploring more of the river and be less crowded, take the long tour that take about 2h15 to cover 4,3km of river (you need to apply for special permit at the PP river office beforehand). You could also spend a few days in Sabang area to be in less than a rush. Thanks to the assistance of the management of the Puerto Princesa Subterrranean River Park. Filmed in May 2017.

Things don't always go to plan when sailing, and our first sail of 2017 sees us having to 'U' turn early on. After making our way down to Bodrum to sign out of Turkey we head over to the Greek island of Kos, to update our DEPKA and formally sign in. This all done it's a good look round the town before heading off the next day to the small island of Pserimos. From here we are supposed to make our way to Kalymnos but our solar decides to die, and we are forced to head back to Kos to get the problem sorted. The Bahamas are a wonderful place, don't get me wrong, but one thing that can be tough to find around these parts is EXCITEMENT. However, if you've got a dinghy, a 15hp+ motor, a tow-rope, and a surfboard - you've got all the ingredients for an unforgettable, adrenaline filled afternoon! This video was shot at Warderick Wells, Exumas. You can actually see Emerald Rock at several points in the video. The beach that we staged at is called Butterfly Beach, and is located just North East from the park office in a gorgeous little cove. Special thanks to the crews of The Kraken and Bali Ha'i. The abundance and diversity of coral species and the health of reef life ensure some of the most unparalleled diving and snorkelling in the world. The species you may encounter but not limited to are: Barracuda, surgeonfish, bumphead parrotfish, trevally and giant trevally, napoleon wrasse, wobbegong sharks, black and white tip reef sharks, tuna, bonito, oceanic manta and mobula rays, seahorse, frogfish, leaf fish, scorpion fish and nudibranchs, to name a few. Pelagic species which include dolphins, whales and hammerhead sharks have also been encountered on our trips. Black coral forests, gorgonian fields and a wide variety of soft corals are plentiful at the dive sites. Throughout the course of the trip, you will have the opportunity to take 3 dives per day, with alternating night dives. However, the number of dives per day, as well as the location and dive sites mentioned on itineraries may vary due to weather conditions and currents. We also had a very unfortunate experience: we failed to properly lock down our main cabin hatch and it was flooded with seawater - of course this happened about as far away from laundry facilities as we've been … ah, boat life!
