Calico Jack Charters is proud to present our latest promotional video from our 2016-17 season in Raja Ampat, Komodo, Forgotten Islands and beyond. The abundance and diversity of coral species and the health of reef life ensure some of the most unparalleled diving and snorkelling in the world. The species you may encounter but not limited to are: Barracuda, surgeonfish, bumphead parrotfish, trevally and giant trevally, napoleon wrasse, wobbegong sharks, black and white tip reef sharks, tuna, bonito, oceanic manta and mobula rays, seahorse, frogfish, leaf fish, scorpion fish and nudibranchs, to name a few. Pelagic species which include dolphins, whales and hammerhead sharks have also been encountered on our trips. Black coral forests, gorgonian fields and a wide variety of soft corals are plentiful at the dive sites. Throughout the course of the trip, you will have the opportunity to take 3 dives per day, with alternating night dives. However, the number of dives per day, as well as the location and dive sites mentioned on itineraries may vary due to weather conditions and currents.
