In this vlog, we anchor our sailboat under sail at Ten Bay Beach in Eleuthera without using the diesel engine. It's really not all that hard, but it does take a bit of forethought and good communication between crew members. Also, we enjoy the afternoon at a lovely little area called Ten Bay Beach. Excellent beach, lot's of little shells, and good holding as well. From there, we get underway towards Governor's Harbour. We have a great sail even though the wind is a bit strong. No matter... with 2 reefs in the main and about 25% of the headsail out, we still make a solid 6.5 knots towards our destination, even though we get a bit drenched in a surprise shower. After we meet a new friend Gonzi on the island of Nevis, we go on a whirlwind adventure of Pinney's (PENIS) beach, sunshine's beach bar, meet some crazy strong island crabs, dodge some goats, swim in THE HOTTEST WATER WE HAVE EVER SET FOOT IN, then sail on bright and early the next morning to a tiny speck of an island where we do some incredible off the map scuba diving! It took more than three years, but finally my parents come to visit me and set eyes and foot on Karl for the first time. We explore the island of Taboga and enjoy some quality family time together. My mom loves Karl's homeyness and my dad seems surprised how sturdy my good old boy is. It was beautiful and precious for me to have my family visit my floating home and I hope to welcome them on board again some time in the future when Karl is actually able to move around a bit. Puerto Rico has A LOT to offer! After exploring the capital, San Juan, in the previous episode, in this episode we walk into the rainforest, El Yunque.
