Hi Everyone, Back in May we went for a tootle with some dear friends up to Evergreen for brunch at the Lakeshore Cafe. Our good friend Bob sent out and email and asked if anyone was up for a drive and got a really good response! We all met down south a bit and went for a super nice ride up the hill. It was a bit overcast that day, but no rain until after we were all home. Along for the ride were several 911s (993 and 911SC) and a few Porsche Boxsters. After brunch we went for a nice lakeshore walk and even saw some elk! Sorry it took so long the get out 😉 Hope it was worth the wait 😊 We hope you enjoyed the video. Henrik, Hanna, Tom, Yoli, Vincent und Tim sind am 1.August auf die Rofanspitze gestiegen um dort eine Nacht auf dem Berg, unter dem Sternenhimmel zu verbringen. Nach einem gemütlichen Aufstieg und baden im Bergsee erreichten wir den Gipfel um ca. 19.30 Uhr. Nachdem wir fast eine Stunde auf dem Gipfel waren und einen passenden Schlafplatz gefunden hatten, wurden wir von dem Wetter überrascht. Es fing an zu blitzen und zu donnern und wir sind Sicherheitsweise abgestiegen. nach einer knappen Stunde waren wir wieder an der Bergstation und haben uns einen Unterschlupf gesucht. Letztendlich haben wir diesen gar nicht benötigt, da das Wetter wieder besser wurde und wir bekamen sogar noch unseren Sternenhimmel um 3 Uhr nachts :)

Hi Everyone, since the MINI lost a bit of fluid from the left axle half shaft replacement (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkCFaPJI0tw), I thought I would just go ahead and swap out all the transmission fluid. It is super simple and probably something to do every couple of years. It did actually help to make the shifting a bit smoother! Tools you’ll need: • 8mm hex • Ratchet • Torque wrench • 3Qts of appropriate fluid (consult your manual or service center). I used Mobile One Synthetic 75W90 • Fluid Pump that fits your replacement fluid bottles • Drain Pan • Rags/roll towels We hope you enjoyed the video. Do you want to find out how we reversed the moisture build up in our fibre glass boat hull for less than £100 ? The biggest unknown in our rebuild project was our ability to ward off future osmosis stemming from the excess water which had seeped into the core of the hull over the years. The advice we had been given was that if it was not showing now and if we resealed the bottom of the boat with Epoxy that there was a good chance that it would not become a problem. While we trusted the expert opinion that we would be OK we decided to give some drying options a go. What is fibreglass Osmosis ? The gel coat finish on the exterior of many fibreglass boats is reinforced plastic which is porous. As water is a solvent, when boat is afloat the water reacts with the fibreglass to create a weak solvent solution, usually with styrene. The process starts from the day the boat is launched, gradually increasing the longer the boat is in the water. In the worst cases this reaction will soften the gel coat, over time the build up can combine with gas or fluid pressure which results in the external water getting sucked into the small pockets of space within the laminate. Filling the gaps in the fibre glass with water and soluble components left over from the build process. In the most extreme cases this buildup can present as an external blister on the surface of the boat. In simple terms if you leave your boat in the water for extended periods of time the chemical reaction can slowly suck moisture into the fibre glass and further into and reinforcement inside the hulls core (usually closed cell foam or wood). If enough water is sucked in the chemical reaction can produce enough pressure to create external blisters in your boats finish. Summer boating in Mexico… life is hot, but life is good! We survive the summer heat by jumping in the water to keep cool, and get some breeze with some nice upwind sailing out to the beautiful deserted island of Monserrat. With the anchorage to ourselves we walk the beach and snorkel one of the best reefs that we’ve visited so far with a huge variety of sea life. Nas Bahamas existem vários aviões afundados, aviões que eram usados na década de 70 e 80 pelos traficantes de drogas. During our last couple days at Governor's Harbour, we check out the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve. I'll admit, that Tambi was far more excited about walking through the woods and looking at a bunch of plants than I was. When we arrived, and I had a chance to get a better understanding of the park, it's quality, and it's purpose, I began to get a bit more interested. This plant park is actually quite nice! It's very clean, very well run, and the experience was educating and relaxing. I enjoyed my time walking through the bush and looking at plants after all. After the park, Keith and the Sandflea crew part ways, as we change gears and prepare to leave Governor's Harbour for Alabaster Bay. We need to get water, turn the boat back into a sailboat, instead of a floating apartment, and we also have to be sure that our immigration is up-to-date. A quick trip to the immigration office extends our time once again, and we are free to roam around the islands once more - at least for another 45 days. Thanks for watching!! Wooop, we had the most amazing holiday in the Philippines in June, diving at Malapascua Island (with the thresher sharks), Moalboal (with lots of turtles) and Oslob (with 14 whalesharks!!). This is the second video of the trip, not about the sharks, but about all the other things we've seen on the trip!! With lots of pipefish, countless nudibranchs and heaps of other macro critters, it was a stunning trip that we'll never forget!!
