You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? Hundred Million Dollar Mega Yachts I don't use the term "Mega Yacht" too easily, but when you take a look at these creations you will see why I had no problem applying the label. The largest yacht in the world currently is "Dilbar", at an astonishing 512' in length and nearly 16,000 GRT. Since she is not for sale though, I took some time to look at yachts that are for sale that are the largest...in the world!!! Rugged. Remote. Exotic. The Marquesas are a wild place. So wild that Fatu Hiva is only accessible by boat. Only after hiking across the island we understand why. Mountains rage up into the clouds. Jungle covers the valley floor. Only a couple of villages dot the landscape with a handful of inhabitants. Here the waterfalls are just as impressive as the torrential rain. After a week of exploring and feasting tuna with locals we make our way to the other side of the Marquesas, Nuka Hiva. Our first taste of civilization. An island with a supermarket, diesel and french baguettes! Vegetables are a rather rare commodity here. At 0430 the farmers market starts. By 0500 everything is sold out. Bronenosec Sailing showed some serious interest in the title after putting in some good scores on day two of the RC44 Marstrand World Championship. Vladimir Liubomirov steered the blue boat to victory in the first race of the day, sailed in about 8 to 10 knots of westerly wind. A sixth in the next race was not so special but Bronenosec surged into the lead of the third race of the day, only to let it slip to Artemis Racing on the final run to the finish. We have the most perfect sailing days to get the spinnaker back in the air and flying again as we sail from Isla Monserrat to Isla Danzante! As we navigate around the reefs and rocks of the area we rely more our our GPS waypoints, satellite maps and what we can see than any charting software, as it’s not very accurate in this area. Once at Danzante, we jump in to snorkel and free dive in the crystal clear water, taking in amazing sea life and underwater views. We anchor our sailboat in Alabaster Bay to explore the abandoned navy base on Eleuthera. There's not much around the area, especially by foot. No restaurants, no laundry or showers, and no where to go for fuel or water. The only thing that is close by is the abandoned US Navy Base. We hiked for about 2 miles to arrive at the old Navy Base. It was an easy hike along the road, a good portion of it along the Queen's Highway. Once at the base, we wander around and check out all the old buildings and try to figure out what they used to be. The whole place is very grown up - the island has nearly reclaimed the majority of the buildings and structures on the property. Also, the buildings themselves are in awful shape, many of them on the verge of collapse. I would still recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area. It's very interesting to wander around the old roads and try to imagine how things used to look while the base was still in service almost 50 years ago. Another thing about Alabaster Bay is that it's simply beautiful. The beaches are wonderful, and of course, the water is gorgeous. Molly actually learned to swim right there in the waters of Alabaster Bay! We're really proud of that fact. Way to go Molly! There's also a great spearfishing spot that's just around the rocky corner of the bay - on the South end - right next to a large rock that's sticking out of the water. Be sure to dive around that rock if you're ever in the area. Soooo many fish, and many of them were of considerable size - way to large for just Molly and I to eat.
