We have been married for 6 years now and have spent the past 5 1/2 years living on a 26’ sailboat in Oregon. We worked multiple full time jobs saving money and working on our boat with the goal of someday traveling somewhere warm and seeing the world on our sailboat! We finally made our dream come true this year and were able to take our sailboat from the beautiful Oregon coast to the tropical Florida coast. From there we sailed to the Bahamas and spent 4 incredible months sailing where ever the wind took us! We found so many amazing places to see and explore and met so many wonderful people along the way! We documented our adventure from start to finish and are currently posting weekly videos to our YouTube channel. For us, filming our adventures is a way of documenting our lives. The memories we make might fade away in the future and we always want to be able to look back and not only remember, but FEEL that same excitement we shared in those moments! In this episode we have been having motor issues and get the experts around to inspect Nandjis motor. We initially thought we had a majour rebuild on our hands but with a closer look it may not be as bad as what we first though. We order new parts to eliminate the problem. Rather than sitting on our hands we decide to go on adventure with our new friends Corey, Jess and Chris to the Cascades waterfall, Efate Island. On this episode of Sailing Vessel Triteia I do my first solo sail back from Catalina Island to Angels Gate Lighthouse. I took Meital to the dock so she can return to the mainland onboard Catalina Express but she found the time to heckle me as I rowed back to the boat. The next morning I had a lovely sail home and saw dolphins and even a shark on the passage over! At the end of December I plan on doing a week long sail to the Channel Islands and will be documenting that trip with stops on several islands. Même si la vie sur la video à l'air plutôt cool nous travaillons beaucoup et dans des endroits pas super cool !!!!! Bref ca fait parti du jeux. Nous avons vendu notre fidèle brise de mer. Bateau incroyable mais qui devenait trop petit pour nous ! Nous avons donc acheté un 39 pieds que nous préparons actuellement pour la suite du voyage. Nous avons pendant ces 6 mois continué de rencontrer des gens super cool! Nous avons également subi les 2 cyclones Irma et Maria. Nous sommes conscient d'avoir eu beaucoup de chances car nous n'avons pas eu de dégâts majeur. En revanche nous avons perdus une bonne partie de notre matériel video :-( je film donc une grande partie avec mon téléphone portable et des amis nous ont donné des videos prisent avec leur drone, Way of life MERCI ;-) Nous allons donc surement changer le nom de la chaine mais je cherche encore un nom plutôt cool, si vous avez des bonnes idées plutôt cool lachez vous dans les commentaires ! Warten auf Wind am letzten Tag der J/70 Winter-Serie in Monaco

Mein traditioneller Einhandtörn im Herbst geht zunächst in die Dyvig Bucht, von hier in den Faenoe Sund, nach Samsoe, Kerteminde und unter der grossen Beltbrücke durch bis Spjodsberg. Dann entlang der Insel Langeland nach Maasholm und wieder zurück nach Flensburg. Es ist eine schöne Reise durch die herbstliche Natur in fast schon leere Häfen. In den Städten ist ebenfalls schon Ruhe eingekehrt.

Diese Woche in Untie The Lines überqueren Karl und ich unsere erste Grenze zusammen. Wir hangeln uns an der Küste Panamas entlang, besuchen verschiedene Kuna Dörfer und überqueren dann die Grenze nach Kolumbien. Wir segeln von Kolumbien zurück nach Panama und erleben den ersten "Squall" auf See. Squalls dauern zwar meist nicht länger als eine halbe Stunde der Stunde, können aber sehr hohe Windstärken erreichen und einen ganz schön durchschaukeln. Aber Karl hat den ersten Sturm auf See gut gemeistert und wir haben uns danach in einer ruhhigen Ankerbucht etwas ausgeruht. Noch nie in meinem Leben habe ich so kristallklares Wasser gesehen. Man kann aus der Mastspitze die Seesterne und Rochen beobachten, einfach der totale Wahnsinn. Das ist einer der Vorteile, wenn man auf einem Segelboot wohnt, man kann all diese wunderschönen Destinationen ansteuern, die sonst nur sehr mühsam oder mit viel Geld erreichbar sind.
