People often ask where we sailed so far. Here's our route from 2018.
We have installed the boat engine wiring harness on a 2004 Bayliner Bowrider 175, for the Mercruiser 3.0 liter. We may rerun this later of the manifold of the engine,.kinda like how it doesn't clutter the top of the Mercruiser engine in our boat. We still have a little more wiring to do on this boat. Some of the accessories that need to be wired in are missing. The great thing is that it works and we can now power the dash in our boat and most importantly, the radio. You have to have tunes while you do boat work, not a fan of hearing the goblins in my head. This is a great spot to stop to get fuel and other necessities that you might be in need of. There are 3 stores on the Island that are within walking distance of each other and between the 3 of them, you will most likely find what you are looking for. Prices of items found in Nassau and other main island grocery stores tend to be more expensive than in the U.S. and when you are in the out islands of The Bahamas, those prices can easily double sometimes triple. We were not in need of many food items and feel that we provisioned our boat well before leaving on our trip, but one thing that we did underestimate were the snacks and comfort foods like chips and cookies. We had planned on stocking up in Florida before leaving, but simply forgot. Some food items that we wish we had brought more of include: Canned vegetables, cookies, chips, potatoes, cereal, chocolate and almond milk. We found it convenient that most of the stores we visited had a selection of fresh vegetables and fruits that added to our supply of food we already had aboard Turtle for meals. We are also glad that we got the chance to experience what shopping in the out islands of The Bahamas was like, and we are happy to have helped support the local grocery stores in this incredibly beautiful place. Once all of our chores were done for the day, we took the opportunity to snorkel the Thunderball Grotto Cave again! This cave is so unique and has really captured our love for adventure! Today there were a lot more people snorkeling the cave, so the fish were more shy, but go check out our video from the last time we were here to see more of the vibrant sea life! ~https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnSPW214WB0&t=271s _____________________________________________________ MUSIC USED: "Highlights" by: Nicolai Heidlas "Summer Acoustic" by: Ramol Pro "Build The World" by: Nick Petrov LINK: ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/highlights/644918/ ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/summer-acoustic/769693/ ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/build-the-world/760343/ ******************************************************** Affiliate links have been added to this description to help our viewers find products shown in our videos. “As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.” Thank you. ********************************************************

Secret Of A Long Lasting Relationship by Gaur Gopal Das
In 1608, the English East India Company established a settlement at Surat (now in the state of Gujarat), and this became the company's first headquarters town. It was followed in 1611 by a permanent factory at Machilipatnam on the Coromandel Coast, and in 1612 the company joined other already established European trading companies in Bengal. However, following the decline of the Mughal Empire in 1707 by the hands of the Marathas and after the East India Company's victory at the Battle of Plassey in 1757 and Battle of Buxar, both in Bengal 1764, the Company gradually began to formally expand its dominions and collectively call the area India.By the mid-19th century, and after the three Anglo-Maratha Wars the East India Company had become the paramount political and military power in South Asia, its territory held in trust for the British Crown. Company rule in Bengal, however, ended with the Government of India Act 1858 following the events of the Bengal Rebellion of 1857. From then known as British India, it was thereafter directly ruled by the British Crown as a colonial possession of the United Kingdom, and India was officially known after 1876 as the British Indian Empire.India was divided into British India, regions that were directly administered by the British, with Acts established and passed in British Parliament, and the Princely States, that were ruled by local rulers of different ethnic backgrounds. These rulers were allowed a measure of internal autonomy in exchange for British suzerainty. British India constituted a significant portion of India both in area and population; in 1910, for example, it covered approximately 54% of the area and included over 77% of the population. In addition, there were Portuguese and French exclaves in India. Independence from British rule was achieved in 1947 with the formation of two nations, the Dominions of India and Pakistan, the latter also including East Bengal, present-day Bangladesh. The term British India also applied to Burma for a shorter time period: starting in 1824, a small part of Burma, and by 1886, almost two thirds of Burma had come under British India.[6] This arrangement lasted until 1937, when Burma commenced being administered as a separate British colony. British India did not apply to other countries in the region, such as Sri Lanka (then Ceylon), which was a British Crown colony, or the Maldive Islands, which were a British protectorate. At its greatest extent, in the early 20th-century, the territory of British India extended as far as the frontiers of Persia in the west; Afghanistan in the northwest; Nepal in the north, Tibet in the northeast; and China, French Indo-China and Siam in the east. It also included the Colony of Aden in the Arabian Peninsula.
Punjab Minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu has sparked another controversy after he praised Pakistan at the Kasoli literature festival. Sidhu said that travelling to Pakistan and within Pakistan is better than visiting south India.

This is a bit of an experiment, and you are the guinea pigs he he :) On a recent sail we were inspired by a TED talk on the concept of Slow TV. The idea is to capture an experience from a point of view over a long time span. In this case we were exploring the Maroni river in French Guiana. We hooked up a few Go Pro's on Delos and let them run until the battery went dead. We also recorded the audio separately with our external microphone. The video is 3 hours and 40 minutes long and meant as ambient background with audio. Maybe put it on the TV while you eat or a second monitor while you work. I dunno but hope you enjoy! Love Brady, Alex, Brian, and Karin. Following Simon Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/finding_simon/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/findingsimon Website: http://simonstiles.com/ Asking Simon - Who are you? I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel the world. I make vlogs sharing my ups and downs, and my adventures in vans, on motorbikes, and on sailboats. - Who is Champ? Champ is my handsome 14-year-old Labrador, who travelled almost everywhere with me for his whole life. He loves chin scratches, fetching sticks, and scarfing down cheeseburgers and pizza. - What camera equipment do you use? I use a Panasonic FZ2500, a DJI Mavic Pro, a Rode video micro with Deadcat, a Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, as well as DIY tripods and lights. - What are your vehicles? I drove a 1992 Dodge Ram B350 camper van all over North America for about two years. Travelling by motorcycle made for some unique trips. I explored the Canadian Maritimes (and deserts and backroads all over the continent) on a 2002 Kawasaki KL250 Super Sherpa dual sport bike, and also rode my 1999 Yamaha V-Star XVS1100 cruiser with a Champion Escort sidecar across my home country twice. From land to water travels: I currently live and work on a 1979 Wharram Oro 47 catamaran. - What are your plans with the boat? I will fix it up, run it on nothing but green electric power, and sail off into the sunset. Stay tuned for the growing build and the adventures to come! - How do you find all these cool places we see in the videos? To gain access to my complete research and the world traveller’s map I curate during my explorations off the beaten path, you need to hit me up on Patreon. Here are a few websites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/, https://www.campendium.com/, http://www.atlasobscura.com/, https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - How do you afford your lifestyle? I live and travel economical by using free camping and mooring, cooking my own meals, thoroughly researching products and how-to’s online, practicing a DIY approach, and being as efficient as possible with my resources. I've struggled financially for most of my life, and although I'm blessed with helpful friends and family as well as being able-bodied, white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to pursue your passion. So, I learned that you DO need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, and a traditional career but that it IS possible, worth it, and the only lifestyle that makes me happy. I make my income almost entirely by creating content for YouTube, but it's a tight budget. Ad revenue, business sponsors, affiliate links, Patreon, Paypal donations, and merchandise sales bring in about as much as a part-time job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough, I go back to regular work such as photography, videography or construction, but that takes the focus away from my own projects. - How does your dog fit into this lifestyle? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with Champ anyways, since we enjoy similar things, like eating food and being outdoors. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make decisions about where I go and what I do, so I avoid places that ban dogs, and therefore spend more time in nature instead of in cities. - How do you make it work as a digital nomad? My electrical power set-up allows charging my camera and laptop to film and edit almost daily. For Internet access quick and reliable enough to upload my episodes a few at a time, I use coffee shops and libraries. I also use a data package on my phone (10GB), a WiFi antenna, and a WiFi booster.

At this year's Monaco Yacht Show I was invited to some Press Conferences held by yacht builders who wanted me to pass on their news to the viewers of my YouTube channel. The Benetti Press Conference was of particular interest, since it addressed the challenge of delivering yachts in the quickest possible time without compromising the quality of the product. The Redman Whitely Dixon designed Benetti BNOW series is a great solution to this problem. For more details contact me at david.seal@northropandjohnson.com

We are really enjoying this life and share everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
In this vlog we replace our cutlass bearing in a very unconventional way. We really wish we could have done it the "right" way but previous galvanic corrosion of the strut really made us feel as though we shouldn't remove the old bearing jacket for fear of damaging what little strut was still there. We also continued prepping the bottom for new thru-hulls and bottom paint. We filled holes we don't need anymore, because less holes below the waterline is always a good thing. We can't wait to paint the bottom, because that will mark the last paint job on the exterior that we need to do. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not-A-Broker Consulting: https://www.patreon.com/notabrokerconsulting Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/learningthelines/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/learningthelines/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20's, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we're in our 30's. We're not afraid to jump into anything, put in the work, and learn as we go. For this reason our channel is very DIY focused, with the goal to show anyone watching that a lot is possible if you're not afraid to make some mistakes along the way.
