Cooking Fish Soup - Quick & Easy - Mahi Mahi - White fish - Scallops - Clams Here we cook a very easy, quick and delicious fish soup on Mahi Mahi fish, with flavors from garlic, ginger, coconut milk and tomatoes. No problem to change fish, take what you can get hold on. The scallops can you switch to clams if you want. Ingredients: Onion Garlic Ginger Chili flakes Coconut milk Fish broth Tomato pure Ketchup Carrot Potatoes Timjan Scallops or clams Mahi Mahi or white fish Salt and Peper 1: Frie up onion, garlic, ginger and chili flakes, put aside 2: Take coconut milk ad fish broth,tomato pure, ketchup,carrot, potatoes,timjan, salt and pepar. 3: Ad the onion mix. 4: Cook for 20-30min until the carrot and potatoes are soft. 5: Ad the fish and scallops/clams, cook for 3-5min, turn the heat off. 6: Let it rest for 2-3min before you serve. 7: Enjoy with sour dough bread. Just prior to weighing anchor, the galley sink refuses to drain. I remove the hose and clear the blockage, but discover that the seacock (valve) to the through-hull does not close all the way. I reconnect the hose and the boat is once again watertight. Or so I thought. I check on it while sailing up the west side of Culebra and see that the hose is dripping. I tighten the clamps and the drip slows. So we are off, northwest bound to the Florida Keys. The winds are fresh, and we are making good time. By the following day the leak is increasing, however. There's no turning back now (for it would be all upwind), we shall have to make repairs as we go. Hello Friends, On this episode we travel back in time a bit to May of 2018 when I bought my "new to me" gimbaled alcohol stove then we snap back to the present time and get to work on designing and building the closure for the stove. Triteia came with a fixed alcohol stove mounted in the galley. While alcohol is a much slower burning fuel than propane it has a couple of advantages. First and foremost its not explosive, this is my main reason for sticking with alcohol. The other main reason for me is that I am outfitting our boat to sail all around the world and I have seen a lot of videos of cruisers struggles to get propane in far flung places. I finally found the time to get started on installing the oven so this episode shows my process of making a template and cutting the pieces out of plywood that will later be laminated, trimmed out in teak and installed in the galley. Finally the boys meet Archer! We didn't take them to the initial inspection or the survey, so it wasn't until after we'd moved out of our old house that they finally got to see their new home, and trust me when I say we talked about it A LOT! Thankfully they were very excited and quite appreciative. We've got some good kids there. ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on a performance catamaran named "Archer" and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes on YouTube! We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
