A huge thank you to those who help keep our boat afloat by supporting our creative process via Patreon. You can be part of the crew for less than the price of a coffee. https://www.patreon.com/CruisingKiwis Bluewater pacific ocean crossing. This week you join us as we cross the Pacific Ocean from New Zealand to Minerva Reef. Mother nature saw to it that we did not become complacent, throwing four seasons at us in the space of seven days. From perfect conditions to storm warning. Glassy calm water to everything in between. Rob smashing up a mirror on our departure did nothing to help the situation. Jinxing us from the get go. Was there method in his madness or was he just looking for seven years of bad luck? What ever he was after it may well have been working. We saw neither hide nor hair of any marine animals on our trip north. Unfortunately it worked a little too well. Smashed mirror seems to equal carrying bananas where fishing is concerned. Luckily there's always scrambled egg and pasta and pesto to save the day. Music Cricket Farm - Bending spoons Paper Navy - Swan song The Weatherspoons - Cha Cha

Eileen and I invited by our local divemaster to his home and village near the earthquake torn Tanjung in north-central Lombok. This video is of this Blown Away experience that we would like to share with you. Enjoy and please like, share subscribe and leave comments! #indonesia #lombok #earthquake NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? If you wish to support our video efforts, all we ask is that you SUBSCRIBE, give a THUMBS UP, SHARE our videos with your friends, AND COMMENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US MORE DEEPLY? It would be an honor and pleasure to deepen our relationship with you as a Patron. Sorry about the poor video and audio quality the first time around - we've got this video fixed up now for you. The second half of our time in Maine, Summer 2019. We visit Frenchboro and Belfast, go hiking in Acadia National Park, look for whales off Mt. Desert Rock, go kayaking in Seal Bay and have a great time during the second half of our time in Maine. Even though it is the middle of the summer it is not always warm - one day we have on our heavy coats and hats. However other days, particularly in the afternoon, it is "shorts and t-shirt" weather. We have one morning of sailing in heavy fog, but feel pretty fortunate that out of nearly three weeks of sailing we have not needed to sail in fog other times. We have fun watching seals sun themselves and chase schools of mackerel, putting on quite a show right next to the boat.

It was an awesome morning at the Emirates Team New Zealand base watching the launch of their AC75 "Te Aihe". The rain fell, the crowd was huge and the vibe electric. We caught up with team member Glenn Ashby who talks about the foil arms, single rudder, and the chances of crashing in the Waitemata Harbour! Watch the full interview!

As Loftsails celebrates twenty years the good vibes are stronger than ever. And it’s an opportunity to look back on a life designing windsurfing sails... Windsurfing took me when I was building yacht and dinghy sails - way back when mylar sailcloth was new, mast flex character was unknown, and boards were simply chopped to make them shorter for strong winds. Windsurfers were fast compared to dinghies, but our centerboards – hung over our arms - were banging on our sides and our teak booms… We imagined how it all could be better. Custom windsurfing sails were produced in my garage and in the yacht sail lofts where I worked. Ways to improve appeared. Passion for progressive design led to working with big brands and top riders, visiting shows and events, World Cup wins, World Speed Records... I traveled all over the world and met so many supercharged windsurfers sharing windsurfing’s good vibes. An amazing 40 plus years living and breathing windsurfing. And there’s still more in the tank! Loftsails began in 1999 on a sailmakers budget. The early years were both demanding and rewarding. Windsurfing passion led to Loftsails’ growth. I am so very fortunate to explore wind vision with our team of talented riders. The Loftsails team is diverse, but all share wind vision. Loftsails team diversity is evident in the design quality embedded in Loftsails for all windsurfing disciplines. Loftsails 2020 is now 20 years on the water, built on 40 years of windsurfing passion. All 2020 Loftsails designs are improved with new materials and batten systems. Improvements that further animate Loftsails performance on the water. Windsurfing – more than ever – is greater than the sum of the parts. Wind vision.

We find one with a history that's stranger than fiction and another that's underground and just a tad bit creepy. We're talking dark, damp, deep and FULL of bats!!! The Fastnet is one of sailing’s most iconic and challenging races. This year’s edition attracted the biggest fleet to date as 388 yachts set sail on what would prove a record-breaking event as the battle for line honours went right down to the wire. Also in the Solent, the sport’s fastest fleet racing series made its European debut in equally dramatic style as SailGP broke both records and carbon out on the water. It’s been a busy few weeks in Japan as well as the 470s played out their world championships on the waters of Enoshima before all ten classes battled it out in the Olympic test event just a year out from the start of the Games. And the Olympic news doesn’t stop there, as World Sailing announced more details of an exciting new offshore class for the 2024 Games in Paris. Meanwhile back in Europe the Diam 24s concluded their own Tour De France in the Tour Voile, while the 52 Super Series was taking advantage of great conditions in Cascais, Portugal to put on another masterclass. 00:50 Fastnet Race 04:25 52 Super Series, Cascais 09:30 Tour Voile 12:42 470 Worlds 17:18 Olympic Test Event in Enoshima & 2024 Offshore class 20:09 SailGP, Cowes

Launched in 1997, Araluen is a fantastic version of Hunter's ever popular cruising yachts. The Hunter is an incredibly popular family cruising yacht thanks to a very well thought out layout above and below decks. Many of their features have been copied by other yacht designers over the years as their reputation for creating affordable comfortable cruising yachts has evolved. Safety & Convenience Hunter were thinking of crew safety and comfort when they designed the mainsheet traveller which sits forward of the dodger away from the cockpit. Similarly, the genoa sheets lead to the companionway winches, leaving the whole cockpit area free of any clutter and very safe for small children. Araluen is fitted with electric dual controlled anchor winch making anchoring easy with a double bow roller so you can leave the anchor situated on the bow when picking up a mooring. Flush decks making it safe to walk around – or throw a beanbag on the bow for a spot of tanning. Performance The B&R rig removes the need for a backstay. Stays are pushed to outer beam and run the length to the keel reinforcing her fractional rig. Handling is easy with and efficient fully battened main while single line reefing makes it much easier to handle with a small jib. Tacking is easy and there is less overlap at the mast due to a smaller headsail design. This also reduces winching through the tack. She is easily handled, stable and offers a very smooth ride. Cockpit Araluen has a lovely spacious cockpit and there are no lines to get in the way when you’re entertaining as. All lines lead under the dodger along the coach roof to jammers and winches located out of the way to clever rope stash compartments. It’s a very safe space for kids as the cockpit is very well enclosed with the addition of two beautifully varnished princess seats where you can enjoy all the action while staying out of way. The yacht has safety rails which open on both sides as well as offering excellent open access to the water from the stern with a diving platform, swim ladder and a fresh water shower when you exit the water. There's a big sugar scoop stern with a solid boarding ladder and lots of space for diving or snorkelling or fishing gear. There's a stainless steel magma barbecue secured to the aft cockpit rail. You can enjoy hot sunny days under the well shaded cockpit with full bimini and dodger. When moored, there's an additional boom tent. Designed for family cruising in comfort and style, the 376 is the perfect sized yacht for weekend or holiday cruising. ***NOW Araluen is set up for weekly and holiday cruising with family (or friends) and would make a great addition to any sailing family or group of friends who want to make the most of our wonderful waterways in a medium sized yacht with the space of a 40ftr. Below decks and Galley Hunters are open, light filled and very spacious yachts. Araluen's interior offers an abundance of natural light which is complimented by her faun coloured suede upholstery and light varnished timber interior. She was originally fitted out in 110v with air conditioning although this has not been used by her current owner. The yacht is fitted with 240v outlets throughout. She has a dedicated navigation station opposite the galley. There’s a large electric toilet with macerator and holding tank, combined with a separate curtained off shower cubicle - great for privacy and avoids wetting the whole cabinet. The galley is another great Hunter feature. Fitted with overhead shelving, dedicated garbage compartment, large double fridge/freezer and a 3-burner gimbal stove with lots of easy access storage cabinets, crockery - and even microwave (when connected to shore power). Accommodation Thanks to an optional open plan V-berth and walk around aft cabin, you can be as private or a social as you please with family or friends. The dining table lowers to convert to a very comfortable third double bed yet you can still all easily walk around inside. The over sized aft cabin runs the full length of the cockpit. There's masses of storage in bedside lockers and cabinets and even a wet locker. Watch the sailing and join us onboard. You’ll see for yourself just why these yachts are so popular and how much fun you can have with a Hunter. If you think she might be right for you, give us a call and we’ll take you onboard for a tour. She is sure to impress. If you’re looking for comfort, good looks, solid performance and lot of fun, Araluen is the yacht for you. We spent 2 weeks circumnavigating Iceland by motor home. Iceland is an incredibly spectacular country with new jaw dropping scenery literally around every corner including incredible glaciers, waterfalls, thermal springs and wildlife. We scuba dived Silfra which is the clearest water in the world.

Azimut Grande 30 Metri perfectly incorporates the brand’s finest ingredients, starting from the exterior profile. In keeping with the finest tradition at Azimut, this model remains graceful and sporty, but offers more volume and surface area than ever. The raised pilothouse provides more space at the main deck interior both in the generously sized saloon and especially in the owner’s suite; the latter is located to the bow and enjoys panoramic views with full-height windows along the sides. • • • • • • • • Copyright: Sparks by Chaël https://soundcloud.com/chael_music Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported — CC BY 3.0 Free Download / Stream: http://bit.ly/2CFJfGn Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/XIoyEFrDRDo

https://www.networkyachtbrokersbarcelona.com/ https://www.european-yacht-charters.com/ Network Yacht Brokers Barcelona would like to introduce a well-maintained and very comfortable 2002 Hunter 386, ready and equipped to sail long passages. She can be found next to our office in Port Ginesta Barcelona. We recommend viewing. https://www.networkyachtbrokers.com/boats_for_sale/Hunter_386_Yacht-3485.html/ A lot of love and care has gone into Nightshade, and we have spent many months living aboard, making the yacht an enjoyable home. We have decided to sell as we will be moving to Austria to pursue other life-goals. The yacht has had one previous owner before us (bought it in 2015). Nightshade has been recently refurbished (2019). We have cleaned, polished, and completed a full removal and replacement of the old hard antifouling with a high-quality epoxy coating and ablative type antifouling. There have never been any osmosis or hull problems and the yacht has been generally cared for in all other areas. Additionally, the yacht features a unique swirl design on both sides of the hull on top of a recently polished and waxed gelcoat. Should you wish to rename, the logo is easily removed (high-quality cast vinyl). We are confident you will love the boat as much as us and invite you to get in contact with us should you wish to arrange a viewing with Network Yacht Brokers. Manufacturer description The Hunter 386 is an evolutionary boat that comes from the finest of innovation and consumer input. Comfort, convenience, and livability are what the 386 is all about. Abundant natural light streams in from the Hunter signature windshield as well as the many fixed and screened ports, not to mention the multiple overhead hatches which also provide a tremendous amount of fresh air. At anchor, or at the dock, the placement of the ports assures great ventilation, and reverse cycle air and heat are optional choice. Entertaining or handling the family is easy with the enlarged salon complete with a convertible dinette and facing settee. Storage is plentiful as is electronic space at the integrated nav station. A Corian-covered, full-service galley comes complete right down to the dishware, and any chef will adore the side-by-side iceboxes and top-loading trash bin set each side of the double basin, stainless sink. The private forward stateroom on the Hunter 386 includes an en suite vanity with sink and storage, as well as plenty of hanging locker and drawer storage. Aft, the master stateroom has a large queen berth and more storage. Privacy is enhanced by the dual access head that offers a Corian-covered vanity, electric marine head, and shower stall all wrapped in a complete fiberglass shell for easy cleaning and maintenance. A tri-cabin version is also available for those who want to accommodate even more family or friends. On deck, the cockpit is designed for the comfort of the skipper and crew, not for the ease of the builder. By bringing the coaming out to the gunnels, Hunter has increased the overall space to incredible proportions to include seating for eight. A custom console with folding table leaves is perfect for those al fresco meals. The Specification can include the following but please do check the broker sales specification.
