December 2018 Before we left Florida for our travels at sea, Sparticus, our 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier, took a turn for the worst. In this video, we said goodbye. This was and is still an emotionally difficult video to have created, and edited. We miss him everyday and while we know we did the right thing for him, it is still painful and reminds us we have an empty space in this boat, in this life, without him. For all of you who have had to say goodbye to your best friend, we know your pain. Til the Heavenly Bridge that rejoins us, fair winds my sweet Sparticus, my little Snuffleupagus, Lil Dude, Sweat Pea, Cranky Fart, and all the other stupid yet loving nicknames I gave you. We have not had our fill yet of exploring the harbor of Portree on the Isle of Skye, but it won't be protected from the southern storms headed our way, and we need to find protection FAST! On a sailboat, you could spend a good month (or more!!) exploring all the harbors and towns in the Isle of Skye, and as much as we were enjoying our time in the harbour of Portree, some nasty storms from the south our headed our way, and there is just no protection offered here. After taking one last day to get off the boat and do some wandering around town (where we also check out the Apothecary Tower overlooking the harbour), it's time to find a sheltered spot to wait out the next week. This means passing under Skye Bridge, known for it's nasty currents that can run up to 9 knots. We try to time all the worst parts so we pass through at slack tide, and find we didn't have much to worry about. And once we've made it safely to our anchorage, the only thing left to do is wait out the never ending storms sweeping over us. Much love from Scotland! Bad news from Scilla as our friend ended up in the hospital in Sint Maarten. We head over there from Saint Barth together with Idéfix. The Dutch part of the island seems to be quite ok after the hurricane, we'll be back in the first week of March to take part in the Heineken regatta, this time on board of Eight.

My British friend Paul is selling his "old lady". No, not his wife, but his well maintained Dufour 35, built in 1973. It's a strong cruising yacht with a classic design. Adaptação de uma bússola comum no cockpit e tomada de corrente alternada 110 volts quando estiver no píer da marina para poupar as baterias....

La primera travesia que realizamos desde la isla de Malta al puerto de Monastir, Tunez.

Après un mois et demi passé sur cette île très épargnée sur grand tourisme, nous allons à Las Palmas sur Gran Canaria afin de découvrir le reste de l'archipel.

Après 10 ans de préparation et un mois de juillet épuisant, nous larguons enfin les amarres.

En décembre 2009, nous entamons la construction de notre voilier en acier sur plan amateur.

Après réalisation des couples, pose des premières tôles de la coque.

Premier retournement de la coque...

Un nouvel an au soleil, c'est une première pour nous. Nous fêtons ça au mouillage avec nos amis du voilier Lady Jane.

C'est la première dois que je fête mon anniversaire au soleil. Très belle surprise des deux équipages que nous avons rencontrés à Gran tarajal.

Nous quittons puerto Caléro sur Lanzarote pour nous rendre à Gran Tarajal sur Fuerteventura.

Après avoir loué une voiture, nous rejoignons nos amis des voiliers Jeito et Gwendic qui sont au mouillage à Arrecife. Nous allons visiter l'île ensemble.
