#abayachting #fermimai #venditabarcheinesclusiva #onboard #nautica #barcheavela #motoremarino #boilernautico #sicurezzainmare #consiglinavigazione

Ferry or water taxi? A charter broker breaks down the two main options for crossing from St Thomas, USVI to the BVI — with real pricing, logistics, and insider tips. 🚢 FERRY (~$100 return per person) • The most common option — 3-4 companies rotate different days • Three main crossings: morning, midday & afternoon • Picks up from Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas • Drops off in Road Town or West End, Tortola • A bit complicated with multiple operators and schedules 🚤 WATER TAXI (~$800 + $50–60/person BVI clearance fees, one way) • Premium but worth it — hop on board, get a fresh drink • Cruise straight across at speed, way faster than the ferry • They go through customs daily so clearance is smooth and easy • Drop you directly at your charter yacht — no waiting around • More expensive but definitely faster and easier 📖 Full guide — Start in St Thomas or BVI? https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-yacht-charter-start-usvi-or-bvi/ 🔍 Search BVI Charter Yachts: https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-crewed-yacht-charter-search/ 🌴 Plan Your BVI Yacht Charter: https://mybvicharter.com/ ⚓ DMA Yachting — Charter Experts Since 2005: https://dmayachting.com/ https://mybvicharter.com/ https://mygreekcharter.com/ https://mycroatiacharter.com/ https://bahamasmotoryachts.com/ https://mymallorcacharter.com/ https://mycorsicacharter.com/ https://myturkishcharter.com/ https://charterguru.com/

Ferry or water taxi? Here's a quick breakdown of your two main options for getting from St Thomas, USVI to Tortola, BVI for your yacht charter. 🚢 FERRY (~$100 return per person) • Three main crossings: morning, midday & afternoon • Departs from Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas • Arrives in Road Town or West End, Tortola • Multiple ferry companies rotate different days 🚤 WATER TAXI (~$800 + $50–60/person BVI clearance fees) • Direct, fast crossing — much quicker than the ferry • They handle customs clearance for you (in and out all day, know the officers) • Drop you directly at your charter yacht • More expensive, but saves time and hassle 📖 Full guide — Start in St Thomas or BVI? https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-yacht-charter-start-usvi-or-bvi/ 🔍 Search BVI Charter Yachts: https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-crewed-yacht-charter-search/ 🌴 Plan Your BVI Yacht Charter: https://mybvicharter.com/ ⚓ DMA Yachting — Charter Experts Since 2005: https://dmayachting.com/ https://mybvicharter.com/ https://mygreekcharter.com/ https://mycroatiacharter.com/ https://bahamasmotoryachts.com/ https://mymallorcacharter.com/ https://mycorsicacharter.com/ https://myturkishcharter.com/ https://charterguru.com/

9 out of 10 charterers fly into St Thomas — but their charter starts in the BVI. Here's why, and why it actually works better that way. ✈️ WHY EVERYONE LANDS IN ST THOMAS • Way more flight connections than into the BVI • It's a domestic US flight — easier and cheaper • Makes sense as your arrival airport ⚠️ WHY STARTING YOUR CHARTER FROM ST THOMAS IS TRICKY • Fewer and fewer yachts can legally pick up in St Thomas • BVI government is making cross-territory charters increasingly difficult • Charter companies sometimes get pulled over by BVI customs — food and drinks can be confiscated • You'll spend charter time clearing customs at both ends (sometimes hours) • You're losing precious "golden charter time" sitting at customs ✅ THE BETTER OPTION: Ferry or water taxi across, then board in the BVI • Ferry: ~3 main crossings per day, affordable • Water taxi: faster, more direct, they handle customs for you • Either way, you're not burning charter time on border crossings 📖 Full guide — Start in St Thomas or BVI? https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-yacht-charter-start-usvi-or-bvi/ 🔍 Search BVI Charter Yachts: https://mybvicharter.com/bvi-crewed-yacht-charter-search/ 🌴 Plan Your BVI Yacht Charter: https://mybvicharter.com/ ⚓ DMA Yachting — Charter Experts Since 2005: https://dmayachting.com/ https://mybvicharter.com/ https://mygreekcharter.com/ https://mycroatiacharter.com/ https://bahamasmotoryachts.com/ https://mymallorcacharter.com/ https://mycorsicacharter.com/ https://myturkishcharter.com/ https://charterguru.com/

Step aboard the Pardo 43 Outboard, unveiled at the Miami Boat Show and designed specifically for the American market. Originally founded in 1973 as a sailing yacht builder, Pardo Yachts has long been associated with innovative design and refined Italian elegance. The Pardo 43, first introduced in 2017 as the brand’s debut motor yacht, now returns in a bold new configuration. This outboard version is built around a dedicated hull to accommodate three Mercury V12 engines, delivering up to 1,800 horsepower and a thrilling top speed of 50 knots. The setup enhances performance, maneuverability and flexibility—particularly useful in shallow waters like those around Miami. Despite the sportier character, the yacht retains the signature social layout, with opposing sofas and a hydraulic table that transforms the cockpit into an even larger convivial space. @eddieswholesomehaven @pardoyachts . #PardoYachts #Pardo43 #OutboardPower #LuxuryDayboat #MiamiBoatShow

Tekne sayesinde ise ulaşılması zor koylara giderek doğanın tadını en saf haliyle çıkarabilirsiniz. tekne, yat, motoryat, yelkenli, lüks yat, tekne turu, deniz yaşamı, boating, yachtlife, yachting, sailing, boatlife, deniz, marina, kaptan, deniz keyfi, yaz tatili, mavi yolculuk, tatil, keşif, adventure, luxury lifestyle, sea life, ocean vibes, boat tour, yacht tour, travel, keşfet, viral, trending, keşfetteyiz, reels, youtube, shorts, tekne tanıtımı, yat tanıtımı, motoryat tanıtımı, yelkenli tekne, tekne inceleme, boat review, yacht review, denizde yaşam, lüks yaşam, tatil vlog, travel vlog, deniz manzarası, sahil, koylar, turkuaz su, summer vibes tekne, tekne tanıtımı, yat, yat tanıtımı, motoryat, motoryat tanıtımı, yelkenli, yelkenli tekne, boat, boat tour, boat review, yacht, yacht tour, yacht review, yachting, boating, sailing, boatlife, yachtlife, deniz, deniz yaşamı, denizde yaşam, marina, kaptan, mavi yolculuk, yaz tatili, tatil, seyahat, travel, travel vlog, vlog, keşfet, keşfetteyiz, viral, trending, reels, youtube, shorts, lüks yaşam, luxury lifestyle, deniz manzarası, koylar, turkuaz su, summer vibes tekne, yat, motoryat, yelkenli, bot, şişme bot, tekne turu, tekne kiralama, yat kiralama, deniz, deniz keyfi, deniz tutkunları, boat, boating, boatlife, yacht, yachting, yachtlife, sailing, sea life, ocean, marina, liman, kaptan, seyir, denizde yaşam, mavi yolculuk, yaz tatili, tatil, gezi, keşif, adventure, travel, travel vlog, vlog, lüks yaşam, luxury lifestyle, sahil, koylar, turkuaz su, güneş, yaz, summer vibes, keşfet, keşfetteyiz, viral, trending, reels, youtube, shorts

Good morning from aboard the Suria; after almost exactly three years, we’re coming out of the water for the first time. Before crossing the Atlantic, we want to convert the through-hull fittings to Trudesign. It won’t get any easier or cheaper than this in future. High-pressure washing reveals lots of tiny holes in the Coppercoat. Vasile, the boss of Slick Hull, says straight away that this is a warranty claim and we’ll get the Coppercoat completely redone. A man of his word! We’re making the most of our time in the shipyard and getting straight down to work. But more on that in the video.

The Yandoo team of John Winning Jr, Fang Warren and Lewis Brake had already won the 2026 JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff World Championship, presented by The Winning Group, after yesterday’s race, but officially took out the title for the third consecutive time at the conclusion of today’s Race 9 on Sydney Harbour. In today’s race, which was sailed in 15-18 knot North East wind, it was the German team of Heinrich von Bayern, Tom Martin and Andy Martin on Black Knight which took the honours when they won their first race in a JJ Giltinan championship regatta since Heinrich first began competing in 2018. The team handled the conditions superbly, and after taking the lead on the second leg of the course, held off spirited challenges from the fleet to record the historic victory for a German team. Black Knight finished 1m13s ahead of the second placed Queenslander GC Sails (Scott Cunningham, Joel Turner and Dave Cunningham), with New Zealand’s Shaw and Partners (Eli Liefting, Sam Street and Josh Schon) a further 31s back in third place. First NSW boat to finish was the fourth-placed Vaikobi, skippered by Kirk Mitchell, ahead of Shaw and Partners Financial Services-Australia (Keagan York), Lazarus Capital Partners (Tom Cunich), Smeg (Ash Rooklyn), Sixt (Jacob Marks), Big Foot Bags & Covers (Dave Hayter, Qld) and Balmain (Henry Larkings) in 10th place. Although Yandoo finished well out of the top placings in today’s race she topped the scoreboard with a total of 22 points, followed by Shaw and Partners Financial Services-Australia on 28 points. GC Sails was third on 41, followed by Lazarus Capital Partners on 52, Black Knight on 54, Sixt on 55, Vaikobi on 59 Shaw and Partners-New Zealand on 63.4 (including a scoring penalty in Race 9), Smeg on 68 and The Kitchen Maker (Lachlan Steel) on 74 points. New Zealand’s Shaw and Partners won a great race to the weather mark at the Beashel Buoy to lead narrowly from Black Knight, with Smeg in third place ahead Vaikobi, GC Sails, Lazarus, Big Foot and Yandoo. Black Knight and Shaw and Partners-NZ had a great battle along Shark Island as they approached the wing mark off the southern end of the island where Black Knight got the upper hand to lead narrowly. GC Sails was also challenging strongly in third place and Yandoo also looked a threat, with her #1 rig, in fourth place. The German team held off the challengers and still had a 5s advantage over Shaw and Partners-NZ as the fleet headed back to the Beashel Buoy for the second time. Positions behind the two leaders remained unchanged with GC Sails in third place ahead of Yandoo, Smeg, Vaikobi, Big Foot, Lazarus, Rag & Famish Hotel (Ben Crafoord), Balmain and Sixt. The beat to Beashel Buoy was decisive as Black Knight extended her lead to 20s over the now second placed GC Sails ahead of Shaw and Partners-NZ, which was 50s back from the leader. After the second spinnaker run back to Clark Island, Black Knight’s lead over GC Sails was still 22s but the hard charging Queensland team reduced this margin back to just 10s as the pair headed for the wing mark and run between the islands to the finish line off Clark Island. Once again, the crew work of the German team was first class and Black Knight powered away from GC Sails on a spectacular run to the finish 1m13s ahead of the determined challenger. The spectacle of the entire fleet finishing at high speed under spinnaker towards Clark Island was not only a brilliant way to finish the regatta, it was one of the best spectacles of the entire season. Designed by Philippe Briand, she delivers impressive sailing performance alongside a practical, well-resolved layout, equally suited to passage making and extended live-aboard cruising. 'Mojito' (2015) is a well-maintained and extensively upgraded example, with major systems renewed in recent years. Highlights include a new engine and generator package, updated rigging, a full Raymarine navigation suite, and Starlink connectivity—making her a highly capable, turn-key cruising yacht. The highly desirable three-cabin owner’s layout features a full-beam aft master suite with private ensuite and seating area, complemented by two forward double cabins, each with its own bathroom. The saloon is bright and welcoming, with a large convertible settee, a spacious and well-appointed galley, and excellent storage throughout. On deck, the twin-helm cockpit provides excellent visibility and control, with all sail handling led aft for safe and efficient short-handed sailing. Her cutter rig, in-mast furling mainsail, and electric winches are key features that make the Jeanneau 57 such a manageable yacht in this size range.

Today started a bit anxious. After what happened with the spinnaker pole last night, I woke up with that feeling of needing to double-check everything. I went through it again this morning, inspected it more carefully, and that helped calm me down a bit. But at the same time, it definitely switched something on in my head. A reminder to stay sharp. Last night I also heard something fall onto the boat, which didn’t help. In the dark it always feels worse. This morning I found a U-bolt and immediately thought, “where is this coming from?” Luckily, it turned out to be from the spinnaker halyard. It had just come loose and dropped. No real issue, but in the moment it felt like it could have been something more serious. And I think that’s the point. Out here, you can’t get too comfortable. Even if I’m starting to feel more at ease, more in rhythm, it doesn’t mean things won’t happen. The boat still needs attention. Constantly. So today felt like a good reminder. Stay alert. Stay on top of things. Don’t assume everything is fine just because it has been. Yes, the spinnaker pole is broken, and that’s going to cost me a bit. But at the same time, this is exactly why I’m out here. To test the boat. To find the weak points. To learn what works and what doesn’t. To break things, and then understand how to fix them. Every problem is a lesson. And today was one of those days where that became very clear again. 🌊 coordinates: 13 52.588N 55 40.343W log: 3477,9 nm distance to go: 522,1 nm ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. Link: https://balancecatamarans.com/design-for-safety/ The episode discusses key safety priorities in catamaran design, emphasizing the need to balance comfort, livability, and performance with strength and engineering details. It highlights ergonomics and visibility as critical, noting that collisions are the top global cause of marine accidents and often result from poor sightlines, so Balance focuses on visibility to all four corners and the horizon. The conversation explains safety-driven choices like a single helm station for efficient reefing, tacking, jibing, and line management; safer movement via minimal trip hazards, tall stanchions with three lines, and ample handholds; reduced deck clutter such as avoiding hatches in walking areas; and clear side-deck passageways. Additional features include emergency tiller systems, an A-frame mainsheet for safer boom control versus travelers, and keeping the boom low for easier sail handling, aided by adjustable biminis and serviceable system access planned from the start. 00:00 Safety Design Overview 00:33 Balancing Comfort Performance 01:08 Ergonomics and Helm Layout 01:31 Visibility and Sightlines 02:09 Single Helm Sail Handling 02:42 Safe Deck Movement 04:11 Rigging and Emergency Systems 04:57 Boom Height and Bimini Access 05:59 Maintenance Access by Design Link: https://balancecatamarans.com/design-for-safety/ Catamaran Conversations with Patrick Shaughnessy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_ZKlaZSmtsRpY6CxjveL9BKi5k3mQwkx
