As the 2013 season draws to a close the world of Olympic sailing is kicking into high gear. 2013, a post Olympic year, was a relatively quiet one, but going forward teams know that only a full push can results in the gold medal they all covet. Alan Norregaard, Bronze medalist in the 49er in London, used 2013 to start a new partnership in the 49er with Anders Thomsen. Together, they placed 2nd in the 2012 European championship, placed top 10 in every event they entered including a 6th at the worlds, though surprisingly didn't win an event. What do they plan for 2014, you'll have to listen to Alan to find out.

We had a great visit out to Pelican Bar. The last few times I have been there, it rarely had many other people at it. This time, maybe 30 people came and went while we were there. It was happening and a blast. I wish we would have filmed more of the guys playing dominos. It is so fast paced and loud. Early morning walk from Lyø Havn, through the village, past the church to the bell stones along the beach back. It is a beautiful autumn morning. You can hear birds - and especially geese, who have gathered in the bay. This video shows no unusual occurrences and will be rather boring for many viewers. For others it could be helpful facing wintertime. There is no musical background. I used my video camera JVC GC-PX 100 together with a RØDE VideoMic with a dead cat. Morgendlicher Spaziergang vom Lyø Havn, durch Lyø, an der Kirche vorbei zu den Glockensteinen und am Strand entlang zurück. Es ist ein herrlicher Herbstmorgen. Man hört Vögel -- und insbesondere die Gänse, die sich in der Bucht versammelt haben. Dieses Video zeigt keine besonderen Vorkommnisse und wird für viele Zuschauer eher langweilig sein. Mir -- und dem/der ein oder anderen - hilft es etwas durch den Winter. Auf musikalische Untermalung wird verzichtet. Verwendet habe ich meine Videokamera JVC GC-PX 100 zusammen mit einem RØDE VideoMic mit Dead Cat.

Day 6 at ISAF Sailing World Cup -- Melbourne was the final day for the Laser, Laser Radial, Finn, 470 Women's and 470 Men's classes. Medal races were ran today and we caught up with Australian Sailing Team and Australian Sailing Squad Members. Video by Beau Outteridge

In 2011 Brad, Krista and Cole traveled for 3 weeks in New Zealand after spending 4 weeks in Australia. Then it was onto the Cook Islands for 2 weeks. This video is some of our Video from our New Zealand tour. The Weather was far less than perfect but we had a wonderful time despite it. We started on the South Island and then Ferried to the North Island. The roads were never straight and it was challenging at times with one lane bridges and narrow passages. We, as always, had a blast together! Please enjoy : )

My sister arrived from Germany and we spent another week in Shelter Bay preparing to finally leave the marina. My big shipment from Baotoon arrived, jey, we had to mount a couple of things and fix a dinghi that someone had given to me so we can get to land when we are at anchor. The boat has new fuel, the engine is running, some things still have to be stored away, but apart from that, KARL is pretty ready to leave. And I am, too!!
