This week the lads applied the biaxial fibreglass to the hull, double layered, whilst the carpenters complete the companionway ladder and bits of colourful laminate. an unserem zweiten Segeltag besuchen wir die Insel "Dugi Otok". Besonders schön ist hier die langexogene Talascica Bucht, an deren nördlichstem Ende in der Uvula Magrovica ein sicherer Ankerplatz liegt. Am Ufer befindet sich die bekannt Konoba "Goro", in welcher der Chef eine köstliche Spezialität, die Peka zubereitet. Wir haben Goran besucht, zugesehen, wie er die Peka macht und mit seinem Sohn Jakov ein Gespräch über die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel geführt.

One of the most famous hikes in the U.S. The experience is overwhelming. Most of the hike you wade through water. It is highly recommended you rent water boots and a walking stick.
Although heights normally do not make me nervous, I was rather anxious on this hike. You have drop-offs up to 1,200' straight down. The total hike was 5 miles and 1,500' in altitude. The view from the top was extraordinary looking out at Zion Canyon .

The wings are unfinished, as are the inflatable collars, the sail needs refinement (it's an old Walker Bay 10 mainsail) and the helmsman needs to be several decades younger. Even so and despite the light winds top speed was nearly 5 knots on the gps. EDIT: I now have fitted a single longer fender on each side. Finally, it is time for a trial run and I am super excited if everything will go well. It's been an awesome day with some beautifull sailing, Karl surfing the waves and a short visit to the Rio Chagres.
