Viatge en familia amb el veler TIRANT. Sortida de Formentor Mallorca, parada a Fornells Menorca on trobem amics, despedida i sortida cap Sardenya.
Hissy Fit took part in nine races wit several of her Dazcat and MOCRA pals. They did well in the multihull under 50s class with Hissy Fit taking six first in class. Owner and skipper Simon Baker takes us through the season's inshore and offshore races.
Dazcat designer and co-director recounts how Dazcat first started.
The Multihull Centre is home to Dazcat and works in partnership with us. One of the many services they offer is a brokerage, here are some of the current offers.
The Multihull Centre, Europe's first multihull specialist boatyard, became home to Dazcat and Multimarine in 2012. Since then all the businesses have gone from strength to strength and the yard is the fullest it's ever been.
Today we talked about inspiration from other trucking VLOGgers. We also found truckstop timers that I wasn't a big fan of. I am really enjoying sailing my 10ft Duo dinghy in the Bahamas. It only takes a few minutes to launch from Skoota's davits, then drop in the sleeved sail and I'm away! The inflatable tube "fenders" really help protect the Skoota's topsides. Today we anchored out near the north end of Elbow Cay and I decided it would be fun to sail out over the reef into the real ocean. I didn't quite make it, the reef was more extensive than I'd thought. I carefully tacked out past all the shallows, but forgot that on my way back I would be sailing blind, downwind into the sun. Fortunately, although I went over quite a few reefs I didn't hit anything. The video shows some of my sail, which was also a good opportunity to try my "boat-made" (as opposed to "home-made") camera mount which I had fitted to the boom. More on the Duo here http://sailingcatamarans.com/index.php/designs-2/46-beach-cats-and-dinghies/420-duo-10ft-sailrow-dinghy

After spending some time in 1770, it was time to leave and head out tLady Musgrave Island but of course when ever you want to do something, the weather does not allow you. After two previous attempts of trying to cross the bar and rounding the headland of Roundhill creek, only to head back into the safety of the anchorage. The third time aound we managed to get through the waves and had a good wind that allowed us to set our course onto Lady Musgrave Island. There we chase some waves and begin to enjoy the beauty of this Great Barrier Reef paradise. We set sail from Puerto Rico expecting a "sporty" sail. What started as a mundane sail ended with winds to 40 knots, a fresh gale, and steep waves. The coast of Colombia is renowned for it's sea conditions. Some say it's the entire Atlantic piling up in this corner of the Caribbean. Others say it's the current. On the fifth day we took down all of our sails in order to slow down our surfs down these waves. This sail will go down as one of our most memorable rides. We're here in Cartagena now and loving it. It has everything you could ever want from an old world city. A great atmosphere and cheap food. It'd be accurate to say we're fully in Cartagena's clutches! Perpetual Loyal takes line honours in a new record time of 1 day, 13 hours, 31 minutes & 20 seconds.
The waters off Sydney Heads can be choppy at the best of times, but on Boxing Day afternoon when the first half of the fleet has rounded the seaward mark on the big race south, the seas are chaotic, chopped up by dozens of power boats following the fleet through the Heads. The Bow Caddy Media team was parked close to the southernmost seaward mark as the second half of the fleet rocked and rolled their way through the ‘rinse cycle’ in search of clear waters and a more settled run southward.
