So this is us. A boy and a girl who decided to leave London and sail the world. We left London, England in May 2015 and sailed the coast of Europe. From France, to Spain to Portugal, before finally crossing the straits of Gibraltar and Entering Africa. We sailed Morocco and then on the the Canary Islands, before crossing the Atlantic and heading to the Caribbean. We have sailed the Windward and Leeward islands and loved every minute of what we do. Vor 20 Jahren trainierten wir so im Münchner Dante Bad...da gab es noch das tolle Sprungbecken mit 20x20m und 5m Tiefe. Das Winterwarmfreibad mit 34C° (!) Wassertemperatur war ideal, um zu entspannen. Alle Aufnahmen entstanden freitauchend (Sony VX-1E im Eigenbau-UW-Gehäuse) Auf Grund von immer wiederkehrender Todesfälle durch Hyperventilation (!) wurde das Freitauchen verboten. Später wurde das Sprungbecken leider durch ein Erlebnisbad ersetzt...

Sailing Totem and Sailboat Story unite to explore spider caves and ocean holes in Rock Sounds, Eleuthera. The words "spider hole" does not typically describe a place that I would want to visit. However, if you get the chance, I highly recommend that you take the time to visit the local cave called The Spider Hole if you are in Rock Sound, Eleuthera - it's actually quite lovely! Also in Rock Sound is a wonderful Ocean Hole. Yes, I know - this Rock Sound place has many holes. Tis true, yes, it's very... porous... and while there, at Rock Sound, we took it upon ourselves to explore them... the holes. The Ocean Hole is a great place to swim. The water is a little warmer than the ocean water, so we found it to be very comfortable. There are also hundreds of fish that linger around the swimming area. They're all very friendly and eager to eat any bits of snack food that may fall into the water. So in this video we swim, we hike, we explore, and we have a fun time hanging out with our friends on 3 other sailboats - Totem, Benediction, and Liahona. The engine-less journey continues. We have to wait for some wind to get out of the anchorage in Isla Bona, so we decide to explore the island by land and by sea. With the smallest of a breeze we set sail to Isla Otoque, only 5nm north from Isla Bona and make it just before sunset. The life of a purist sailor definitely requires a lot of patience and some strong nerves at times where u sail so close to shore that you can already hear the water rush through the gravel on the beach... Sailing and Island hopping around Nosy Be is some of the best we’ve ever seen! we set sail back towards crater bay as we had to say a sad goodbye to Camilla, that was catching a flight back to Sweden. Leaving the incredible Lemur island, we did another stop at the tiny island of Tanikely! The diving here is mind-blowing and just as I was swimming around a big coral head! boom! A rare beautiful Zebra shark was resting on the sea floor! Incredible :D We then set of on a epic sailing weekend to a super protected bay where we meet some familiar faces! "Our amazing sabbatical time as vanlifers in New Zealand was over. But now it was time to go back from New Zealand to Brazil and start our new plan. But before doing that we had time for another visit at the beautiful Flamenco beach in Culebra. The sail to San Juan was perfect despite the calm morning and we loved to sail along the skyline. In San Juan we rented a car to go around town and do some errands and from what we've seen so far we like this city A LOT! We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built aluminium Beason 40, and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started to sail south along the coast of Europe. This week we sail into the gulf stream and all the way to the USA. We finally up anchor and leave the amazing, blue waters of the Bahamas after almost two months. Its a bittersweet moment, for although we are sad to be leaving such amazing island chain, we are finally heading for the USA. Its three days and nights and about 450nm. The weather forecast seems a little unsure of itself, so we are nervous about leaving. However, thanks to the 3kt gulf stream we make good time and arrive in beautiful South Carolina as dawn breaks on the fourth day. We have a beautiful pod of spotted dolphins to welcome us on our last leg of the journey and a truly fitting end for our last big sail of the season. Thanks so much for watching! In this weeks' WoW the popular British Round The Island Race was run and finished in just over 2 hours for some. The others (a thousand plus) took longer and it was spectacular, the RC 44's bashed it out in Porto Cervo, the TP 52 super series was also there for Audi sailing Week and we havr the wrap, the Star worlds were run in Troense Denmark, the Extreme sailing Series was Stadium Racing in the Madeira Islands, the Torbole 2017 RS:X Youth Championships were on Lake garda Italy and the finish in New York saw the Queen Mary 2 beat off the four French MOD 70 trimarams. Going at over 24 knots in a straight line the QM2 beat Vendee Globe winning skipper Francois Gabart and his five man crew.
