We spent some time taking advantage of a beautiful fall day and played around Shelter Island a bit staying active and getting a workout in. We then pulled up the hook and cruised through Gardners Bay, Napeague Bay, and Block Island Sound until we arrived in Block Island Harbor just after sunset. Cascais laid on an action-packed day for the conclusion of the 2017 RC44 Championship's penultimate event, the RC44 Cascais Cup. At the beginning of it, Igor Lah's Team CEEREF held a slender lead, but lost it to Charisma. By the start of the third and final race Alexander Novoselov's Katusha was leading by two points. Despite Team CEEREF sailing an immaculate final race, a second placed finish for Katusha enabled the Russian team to win the RC44 Cascais Cup by just one point. The Autoprop H6 sailboat propeller rebuild nears its final stage with the installation of the bearings. The H6 uses two types of bearings, a taper roller bearing and a thrust bearing. This video explains how to fit them and some of the common pitfalls encountered when fitting them. Once this video is complete you will be ready to install the blades and finish the repair.

On a pristine island, we find a beach full of plastic and garbage. Upon discovering that this is a popular spot for local families from the nearby town to come on the weekends, where they seem to leave all of their trash behind, we take it upon ourselves to clean up the beach. We pick up as much plastic and trash as we can carry, and leave a sign made out of seashells on the edge of the cliff saying “Don’t Throw It Out” in Spanish. Trash management is a problem here, as in many isolated communities around the world with limited resources, but we try to make a difference and change behavior. it is truly a sad sight to see this, especially of the plastic, in one of Mexico’s amazing islands in the Sea of Cortez. ________________ We hope you enjoy our videos and adventures. Day three of the RC44 Cascais Cup saw three more teams come to the fore for the first time. Conditions were difficult for the race committee, who ran the first race on the 'offshore course' in wind heading for the high 20s, and then had to move the race track into the Tagus estuary. Here the sea state was calmer, but an unusual offshore northerly was causing significant shifts, gusts and holes in the breeze. Vladimir Prosikhin's Team Nika has had a difficult regatta so far, having picked up four penalty points following two collisions, but today they came good winning the first race. In less boisterous conditions, today's second race was an RC44 classic, with at least three lead changes with Nico Poons' Charisma untimely taking the win. In the final race there was again a change of leader on the final run on this occasion with Artemis Racing overhauling Katusha to take the win. Hoorn, dans Hollande-Septentrionale. Le Cap Horn et les îles Horn lui doivent leur nom à cette ville.

Bangkok "Wat Arun". Wir fuhren zuerst mit dem Skytrain bis zur Station Mo Chit und folgten dann einfach den Massen bis wir auf dem Marktgelände waren. Dort schlenderten wir durch den riesigen Markt. Anschließend gingen wir zur Pier und nutzten ein orange beflaggtes Boot um weiter zu fahren zum berühmtesten Tempel Bangkok´s. Der frisch renovierte Tempel Wat Arun war unser nächstes Ziel. Trotz der enormen Hitze waren wir bereit uns aus Rücksicht auf die Einheimischen entsprechend zu verhüllen. Schon vom Ufer aus strahlte uns die weiße Oberfläche dieses imposanten buddhistischen Tempels an. Begleite uns auf unserer Reise um den Globus 🌍.
