The Anchor Setup - Part 3 - The Lofrans Manual Windlass This episode is a Throwback project video, one of many I will be uploading every couple of weeks. As I mentioned before I undertook a lot of major projects in preparation for the Channel Islands trip and I shot a ton of video. In this video I drill out the holes for the bow roller and windlass, prep them and refill them with epoxy to seal the core. I know many of my subscribers really enjoy the refit videos so I will be working these in over the next couple of months. Until we bought our boat there we had no idea New Caledonia even existed. Most people we talk to from North American have never heard of it. It's officially a French Colony, or "special collectivity", but will likely become independent this year! Visiting it now is like visiting France in the tropics! Great cheese and bread and everyone speaks French. And they have epic Kiting and Scuba diving.
