I was supposed to take Jaz to Santorini for our honeymoon 20 years ago! Well we finally made it. Lots of people don't anchor and instead use a dodgy little marina or ferry here instead. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures! The Seawind 1000XL is an extremely successful and popular model with over 200 built. This is an easy to handle, spacious, fun and quick cruising catamaran. The saloon / cockpit space is combined in one single level which creates a large multi functional area allowing crew to share the area with loads of space to move around. This space has excellent visibility forward through the large windows (forward windows opening) and can be protected by the aft drop down covers, side clears and extended bimini. The saloon table converts to a king sized day bed. A record 84 yachts started the 2018 RORC Caribbean 600 in Antigua on Monday 19th February. - the largest fleet in the ten-year history of the race. The impressive armada set off in unstable conditions with squalls producing a wind range of over 20 knots, and as little as 10, with some big shifts in direction. High seas and strong trade winds are expected for the race, with the anticipation of record breaking pace.
