Instalación y promeras pruebas del mutiplexor de OCENAV. Centralizamos toda la electrónica de navegación en un dispositivo (Conexiones NMEA y SEATALK) que transmite por Wi-Fi la información a cualquier dispositivo móvil. Dispone de mando a distancia en el que también recibe la información y desde el que se puede manejar el piloto automático y el molinete del ancla.

Hemos instalado, en el barco Copérnico Doblón, un equipo de protección contra la corrosión por corriente impresa de nuestro socio tecnológico Investigación y Desarrollo Naval de Alajendro Samaniego. También mostramos nuevo prototipo de sensor óptico para detectar si tenemos agua en la sentina. Además nos avisa al teléfono móvil si tenemos problemas de corrosión o agua en la sentina.

After our lovely stay in Royal Island, we pulled up our anchor and headed for Governor’s Harbor on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas. Following the inward track we made on our plotter, we motored out the same way knowing that we’d avoid all the rocks and shallows. Once we were clear of obstructions, we pulled out the sail and enjoyed the quietness and freedom that our sailboat provides. One of the best parts of sailing is when the engine goes off, the winches are done doing their job and the boat moves effortlessly slicing through the waves. In February, Andy, Mia & Lee Cumberland went to the Austrian Alps for a week of skiing with our new friends from s/y teamgeist! Tino (in yellow) will sail with us from Iceland-Dublin in summer 2018! Phil (in red/grey) did most of the filming. Lee is on the snowboard, Andy is in orange and Mia is in grey/blue. We met the German family during the ARC Europe rally in summer 2017, and they hosted us at their beautiful cabin on the side of the mountain in Zillertal.
