Desde Denia a Calpe, donde pasé la noche en el RCN de Calpe, y al día siguiente desde Calpe a nuestro puerto base en el RCN de Valencia. Un a navegación a la ida muy bonita, pero a la vuelta extremadamente cansada, ya que por las fechas (finales de julio), y la derrota seguida, no es posible dejar la vigilancia en ningún momento.

Here it is, after nearly a year i finally had the heart to go through my footage from our 2017 Atlantic crossing. We left Gran Canaria on the 5th of December 2017, and made our way south to find the famous Atlantic Trade Winds. 7 days into the adventure... We sailed straight into this storm not knowing it would double back towards us! Well at least the boat got a great clean down. It wasn't till we hit Ibiza that we heard how devastating this storm was and about the tragic loss of life. Our passage was a short one, fish were lost and caught and after dodging more storms were were pretty stoked to drop the hook in a beautiful bay in Ibiza. We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures!
