Honolua Bay in Maui has some great reefs with tons of sea life. The area in the bay is wildlife protected so I couldn't do any fishing. I anchored here for 2 nights before heading on to Molokai. The bay offers good protection from the waves but can get windy if you don't anchor close enough in. There are plenty of sandy patches to drop an anchor in the middle of the bay.

Este foi o dia mais seco dos últimos dois meses e aproveitei para aplicar a última camada de cobre nos cascos, lemes e rabeta do leme de vento. Resolvi aplicar uma faixa de cobre 10cm acima da linha d´água por questões práticas, para não criar craca nesta área. e caprichei bastante nas camadas de cobre nos lemes! O cobre vai começar a ter suas propriedades anti incrustantes a partir do momento que o metal oxidar, ficar verde. Até lá preciso fazer limpezas periódicas com bucha, para ir tirando o que grudar...vai ser um trabalho, mas isso vai ser a vida a bordo!

SATURDAY DAY 5 Quantum Racing clinched their first 52 SUPER SERIES regatta title of the 2019 season, but their perennial arch rivals Azzurra ran them close, the Italian-Argentine teams losing out by a matter of a only a couple of metres on the finish line of the last race of a windy Cascais 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week. While there were equal measures of relief and satisfaction for Doug DeVosกฏs US-flagged team that bounced back to a well-earned victory here after bottoming out with an overall seventh place in Puerto Sherry, Andalucia last month, for the Azzurra team emotions where mixed. They leave Cascais, and the third regatta of the 2019 52 SUPER SERIES season, with a lead of eight points on the overall circuit standings, having started the week five points off the top spot. But as they finished second in the second race today, behind Platoon by only two tiny seconds in a photo finish, and with Quantum down in fifth, they miss out on the regatta win by a hairsbreadth, just as they did last month in Puerto Sherry. After a hard-earned third today, when the course area was moved inshore and east where the much lighter NWกฏly breeze proved super-shifty, Quantum Racing need to keep up the same level of consistency through Saturdayกฏs two showdown races. An unexpected interlude of lighter breeze prevailed today จC the wind range during the one race achieved today was between 6 and 20 knots จC but the Saturday finale should see a return to classic Cascais, 18-20 knots and a return back out to the open sea course. As the new line up settles in to functioning at its optimum level the 2018 champions have had a tough couple of regattas, but here they have sailed here with a higher level of confidence.
