Winds were approx 12 to 20 knots. A great sailing day over about 7 hours showing off a lovely boat for coastal cruising.
The Channel 31 cracking along in a very stiff breeze along Southampton Water.
A lovely boat, strong and stiff in a breeze with excellent accommodation at this size.
A decade or so old and the quality of the video is not HD but the boat is extremely well thought of at this size. Try to see the other videos of this boat cruising in the Scilly Islands too.
Made by Halcyon yachts during a yacht delivery. Another nice 232 doing what they do best.
Part of a Hunter rally (well worth attending) and here's a little competition going on. Is the reefed yacht overhauling that with full sail?
Legendary designer of many Hunter boats - David Thomas in 2014 Talking to Yachting World.
The Ranger became the Channel and here it is - as tested by PBO.
A typical day with the 26 going well in the Solent.
The Ranger 245 cracking on in the Firth of Clyde.
One of the earlier Hunters, the squib became the Hunter 19 and then the Europa. Here's one making great progress along the back of the Isle of Wight.
For just the second sail and singlehanded she's going very nicely. The Medina - a boat that can outsail many larger boats.
The Hunter Pilot 27 is one of the smallest true deck saloon sailing yachts. This is what it is like steering from the second helm position across Lyme Bay south west coast of England - visibility works ok sailing at 5+knots in a F5 gusting 6 returning from a visit to Dartmouth. I'm keeping dry and warm rather than shivering on deck!
One of the later twin masted Liberty's with the angular windows. An innovating and much loved design.
Plenty of exciting sailing here onboard the Magic Racing Team Impala! In 2020, Timothy Long sailed around Britain in one of these - aged 15.
A quick boat for sure and one of the early racing boats from Hunter.
A quick and effective daysailer, reviewed here by PBO.

A fast half tonner racing yacht...
It got a bit damp but good sailing here and you can see how effective the self tacking arrangement can be.

[A unique Vendée Globe 🌟] Before it even starts, this ninth Vendée Globe has already broken many records. The race for victory between the favourites promises to be fascinating and we caught up with some of them on the eve of the start. 🏁
A record entry that includes some seriously fast boats and hot competiton, some are saying that the Vendee Globe race record could tumble once again. Others question whether the new breed are robust enough to go the full distance while others ask whether the skippers can take the physical punishment. The bottom line is that it's going to be one hell of a race - Here's Matt Sheahan's view on some of the hot shots and why
After an entire year of nonstop boat work, we finally made our grand escape to Santa Cruz Island to celebrate our hard work and finally relax. We honestly didn't film much this trip since we wanted to take it easy but a camera always finds its way into our hands so we created a little video to commemorate a job well done. We visited Pelican Anchorage which is a relatively large anchorage that can accommodate many vessels. The holding was a bit rocky, but once the anchor set we had no issues. The water is deep (45 feet, 13.7 meters) all the way up to the wall, so depth is no issue. Our second location was one of our favorites, Little Scorpion which is located on the southern side of the Marine Reserve. The holding is sandy, and we usually set two hooks but this time (since there were boats there previous to our arrival) we set one and had no issues. This anchorage can get a bit packed when you go over the 5 vessel mark. the water is pretty deep all the way up to Scorpion/Bird Rock, but be mindful of the lobster traps set on this side. If you like to snorkel and scuba, definitely check out the kelp forest! ______________ Follow us on social media! Las Palmas attracts sailors from all over the world, and for many it is a jumping off port for a westward passage across the Atlantic. In such a social place it's hard not to find a few friends. Sailing west along the top of Flores Island took us to yet another beautiful island. The 17 Islands National Park is pretty remote and not very many tourists end up there with most spending their time around the better known Komodo National Park. We left Schiehallion in a safe spot and went exploring in the dinghy and found a most perfect place to spend a few days. It was a bit of a challenge getting the anchored and tied up safely but once it was sorted out we were indeed in our own little magical paradise once more. This can give you a passive income (you can literally get paid while you sail, lie on a beach or sleep), with the downside of this method being risk. You also need funds to invest, which you have to obtain elsewhere. Example #2 is consulting. You can do this from anywhere on the planet provided you have solid internet access. Consulting can make full use of all of your education, skills and experience, and if you can provide a lot of value to others you can earn a good hourly rate for your time. The downsides are that this is not scalable and it is not passive at all. If you stop working for whatever reason, you stop earning. Example #3 is book publishing as a business. Again, you can do this from anywhere on the planet, and it has the potential to create truly passive income for you for many years to come. The downside is you have to be prepared to put work in before you start to see substantial results, and unless you are learning from someone who knows the business inside out, you will have a steep learning curve. Some initial investment is required, but far less than a traditional 'bricks and mortar' business. These are just three examples of the plethora of options available for cruisers these days. If you want true freedom while you are cruising then you should concentrate on building passive income, and if you want to learn a lot more about this then click on the link above to be first in line to get our Financial Freedom PDF as soon as it is finished. ⛵Sailing Britaly⛵ We are Chris (British), Rossella (Italian), and Emma (Britalian!) Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? Episode 6 of our Vendée Globe video series drops just in time for the start of this around-the-world adventure. In this episode, we have a masterclass on the sails that power the super-charged IMOCAs. Charal skipper Jeremie Beyou, and PRB skipper Kevin Escoffier join North sail designers Quentin Ponroy and Yann Andrillon on the evolution of sails and what it takes to outfit the latest generation foiler.
As the build wraps up, the last major project to tackle is cabinet building. Join us as we ride the learning curve of precise cuts and pocket-holing to assemble our odd-shaped cabinets. ________________ We hope you enjoy our videos and adventures. The Aston Martin 37 is the result of taking the DNA from their sports car and transform its design and technology into a luxury powerboat to deliver an uncompromising experience
Foiling has become a big part of windsurfing and more and more riders need a board that does not only allow them to foil with a windsurfing sail, but also with wings or with a paddle in their hands. We blended the different board concepts and came up with the Magic Carpet, which is the perfect platform for various foiling disciplines. All the features, you need to enjoy your windfoiling session, are impressively combined with design traits that form a board for wing- and SUP-foiling. All in just one single board!
The Rocket is a synonym for ease of use, control and speed in the world of windsurfing by now. A fine blend of controllability in rougher conditions, user-friendliness and performance allow every freeride windsurfer to enjoy the Rocket in a wide range of conditions. With a huge wind range the Rocket starts planing impressively early, while it always remains quiet and easy to handle, when the wind picks up and the chop intensifies. A balanced shape leads to nearly effortless jibing, which allows you to keep the speed and accelerate out of the jibe with ease.
A maximum in speed and performance has never been as accessible as it is now. The Rocket+ brings the best in performance freeriding and convertible windfoiling into one board, which accelerates your windsurfing session. With a front V double concave, which transitions into a V in the tail, the Rocket+ delivers impressive power that unfolds smoothly and without requiring active pumping by the rider. Thin rails in the tail add easy jibing abilities to a powerful and quick board concept, which is now also available in 143 litres for windsurfing performance in very light winds.
Not only you will enjoy the Bullit’s easy to use characteristics, your family and friends will appreciate the board just as much, making their first steps onto a windsurfing board. Our ever so popular Rocket freeride board with its smooth speed, controllability and easy jibing forms the basis of the Bullit's design with an optimized volume distribution. A large EVA pad offers safety and comfort during the first windsurfing sessions, while multiple foot strap insert positions allow you to get planing for the very first time and race across the local spot once you’re fully hooked on windsurfing.
