Cet été, nous avons tenté le défi de partir des back-tees - départs blancs messieurs - au golf de l'Ardilouse (Ugolf) à Lacanau. Nous n'avons pas le niveau et cela se voit ... mais justement, c'était ça notre défi : jouer notre golf, sans se dégonfler, sans faire de croix, en strokeplay, faire du mieux possible. Au final, c'était dur ! C'est vraiment difficile les départs blancs. Un coup de plus, en fait. En jouant bien, on faisait des bogeys. Et c'était facile de vite jouer mal. C'était très stressant au début. Notre score est vraiment pas top mais c'était un super défi ! Et il y a des beaux coups, surtout vers la fin. Eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Überfahrt, die wir zumindest meistens in vollen Zügen genossen. Nachdem wir in Las Palmas nach einigen Tagen vor Anker endlich in die Marina durften demontierte Hacko mal kurzerhand unseren Mastkopf! It turned out to be a rest area with the ocean view and a water fall. I spent good three hours there ... ===================== ABOUT ME Back in 2019 I decided I did not want to be a 9 to 5  type guy anymore.  I got fed up with this rat race like routine city life and I got hooked on the idea of sailing and living on a boat full time. But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal I have not given up on my dream of sailing. Barrett and I show you the start of the build-out for our F250 4x4 truck. We start with removing the factory bed, including the bumper, running boards and electrical wiring. Next step was to get the truck to the paint shop. I lay it all out with our theory behind the build-out and why we chose a flatbed over a traditional camper. There are not many OBS (original body style) F250 overland builds, so we are pretty excited to have a ‘different’ truck than what you typically see out there. AND it was an inexpensive, capable rig from the get go. This allowed us to put some money into the modifications to make it what we needed on our adventure runs.
