Salut les copains du bateau!! Un zoom sur les fameuses « jumelles »: C’est une pièce très importante dans le gréement du bateau car c’est en réalité le support de mât. Nous avons choisi de faire le grand mat non traversant (C’est-à-dire qu’il ne traverse pas l’intérieur de la cabine avant pour un gain de place) il est donc seulement « posé » sur le pont. ⛵️ Pour le maintenir parfaitement perpendiculaire au pont et, qu’il soit très résistant en cas de gros Vent, ce support prend toute son importance dans le maintien du mât. 🌬🍃 On est donc parti de plusieures plaques en acier de 10 mm d’épaisseur que l’on a découpées et soudées entre elles. Le but étant que la forme épouse parfaitement le pied de mât au mm prêt. La pièce finale pèse dans les 50 kg, Elle sera ensuite sablée et probablement galvanisée, puis fixée au pont!! La pose du mât est prévue pour très bientôt.!💪🏻👍

"With the Raja Ampat season approaching and the Seven Seas anchored in Labuan Bajo during the Covid lockdown, Captain Mark needed to move the boat to the eastern islands to be ready for guests joining the Raja Expeditions in December. Its Pizza night again at the Small Boat Club and Kempy finishes off the bottom work, we go for a sail and do some mangrove kayaking.

Starship continues her journey South heading out on to the North Atlantic Ocean, at Ft. Pierce Inlet. Things go well at first, but of course nothing ever goes exactly as planned when you’re sailing. I get in the water at Rivierra Beach and do some hullng, while also making the worst underwater footage in the history of underwater cinematography. I find a set of wheels to help me get parts for the motor. I stretch my legs and cover some ground in my search for an alternator belt in Rivierra Beach, FL.
