We are Ben and MP! Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. Once the boat was lifted (for the first time in her life) we realized that the works needed were a lot more than expected. Between bailing or accepting the challenge, we decided to go for the second option. Watch us as we bring Yabá back to life with the help of an amazing team of traditional shipwrights, sharing every phase of the process, overcoming the highs and lows and having fun along the way. Moving out of the boat that has been our home for the last 6 years is bittersweet. Because we’re not just saying goodbye to the boat, but to almost all our possessions. We’re only taking what we can carry onto the plane…which isn’t much. The long process of cleaning and carefully choosing which items to pack left us feeling a little out of sorts. So many memories, feelings, dreams, and goals have all been made aboard this vessel. Luckily, we’ve got three weeks in middle earth (The South Island of New Zealand) to revive ourselves and prepare for the exciting times ahead. And nothing does that better than diving deep into nature. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales. We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us. Our home is also our transportation and we spend weeks away from civilization and sometimes land. Self-reliance and living a sustainable lifestyle are a must. It's all about managing our resources and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so. We've lived off the grid for over 10 years now in everything from a Van to RV to a Sailboat. And over time we have learned a lot about renewable energy, creating safe drinking water, and managing our waste. Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity Timestamps if you like to Jump Around: 00:00 We Sold Our Catamaran! 00:52 Prepping to Leave Forever 02:45 Why We're Leaving Everything Behind 05:02 Storm's A Comin 05:56 Packing for the South Island of NZ 07:16 The Mementos We Can't Leave 09:15 Impromptu Tour of a Sunreef 62' Cat 17:59 One Last Chambong Celebration 19:42 The Interior Reveal of our HH44 22:48 The last Hours on CURIOSITY 😢 24:11 Help Us Plan Our NZ South Island Trip! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #BoatLife #Catamaran #TravelVlog #DigitalNomad #LifeStyle #Sailboats © Gone With the Wynns 2022

This is day 1 of our 2 day Patreon sailing trip in Panama City, Panama, on our lagoon 450. This is the most number of people that have sailed on parlay at once, so we were curious to see how she performs... SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!! BUYING a CATAMARAN while also SELLING a MONOHULL, both in a FOREIGN COUNTRY is a daunting task. Being IN CONTRACT with this particular boat seemed like a godsend...the price was amazing, though it needed LOTS of TLC, and the the logistics couldn't be beat...the boat is right here in Martinique. With nothing on the market that quite compares or fits our budgetary needs, if this one falls through...what options will we have left? Enjoy!! And be sure to SUBSCRIBE for WEEKLY CONTENT EVERY SUNDAY! Cheers!! Thanks for watching SailAway, the travel documentary of an adventurous sailing couple, plus a boy and his dog, sailing the world! During his time away from work, Jamie lived on board and cruised South East Asia. One of his life dreams is to sail around the world. His plans came together at the end of 2018 when he met a Filipina lounge singer in China. Princess was yearning for a vacation since she had been working many years to support her family. Finally, her siblings got their own jobs and she decided to join Jamie on Jupiter² and go sailing. It was a wild decision for her because she had never sailed before. For the first time, they sail for two weeks around Phuket, Thailand. She began to see what Jamie love about the sea. They both resigned from their jobs in early 2019 and began cruising full time. Hopefully some inspiration to "Quit Job and Go Sailing".
Join us as we explore some tiny islands of Greece. It's not always easy going but the destinations are well worth the tough sailing, enjoy.
In this video we add a Facnor external halyard lock to our Balance 526 Performance Catamaran to deal with the 2 to 1 purchase halyard twist we've been experiencing. We also continue our sail with the kids around Saint Martin and Anguilla with George and Stanley (and Stanley's girlfriend, Ava.) We find some great spots at Sandy Island and Little Bay (Anguilla). Then it's time to drop off the kids so they can fly home and we add two new crew as we start our passage to Florida via the Bahamas. Subscribe! If you enjoy this video, please consider making a tax deductible donation to a great cause at: https://mpssociety.org/give/ We're Tif and Frank. In a significant act of vanity, we're making YouTube video of our sailing exploits. In 2021, we sailed our Balance 526 Catamaran from Cape Saint Francis, South Africa to the island of Grenada in the Caribbean on a 30 day passage. Since then, we've been sailing up the islands exploring beautiful anchorages and meeting great people. Over the next few years, we'll be sailing through the Bahamas, San Blas, Panama, and across the Pacific. With any luck, eventually we'll sail around the world. We're from Santa Cruz, California and grew up in and around the water. This is our third catamaran (we also had a Seawind 1000 and Catana 431) and eight boat (fishing boats, monohulls... boats tend to take over sometime!). We love fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing and Tif has a yoga and workout addiction. It has been fun to learn to wingfoil, perfect our snorkeling skills, and watch others kitesurf (maybe someday we'll give it a try). World under sails, episode 43. We would have done it without this Atlantic-passage: the dreaded crossing from West to East. To get the hoped-for westerly winds, we have to fight our way up eight degrees of latitude through huge belts of doldrums almost to the iceberg limit! http://annamera.de Bedingt durch private Gründe und die zunächst noch anhaltenden Corona- Reisebeschränkungen verzichteten wir schweren Herzen auf die Fortsetzung unserer Reise um die Welt. Sailing.City wird auch mit Mitteln der Initiative „Zukunftsplan Sportland“ des Ministeriums für Inneres, Kommunales, Wohnen und Sport des Landes Schleswig-Holstein ermöglicht. In 1981 Seven Callahan was sailing the Atlantic when his boat sank and he spent 76 day drifting across the ocean. An incredible story of survival.
