Récit de voyage en voilier. Épisode 12. On se fait pas mal brasser dans notre petit ancrage non protégé de Martha’s Vineyard. Il y a tellement de vagues qu’on remet en question la nécessité d’avoir un moteur plus puissant pour affronter les vagues. On finit par acheter un nouveau moteur Yamaha 9.9 forces, avec l’idée de le modifier éventuellement pour en faire un 15 forces. Misère à amener le moteur à bord! Il est tellement lourd qu’on doit revoir tout notre système de poulie pour le monter/descendre à notre dinghy. Comment poser un coinceur pour ramener la balancine au cockpit. Je profite de notre escale à Saline Bay pour effectuer une modification que je voulais faire depuis longtemps. Ramener la commande de la balancine au cockpit. Jusqu'ici, la balancine, ce cordage qui nous sert à régler la hauteur de la bôme, était reprise sur le mat à un taquet côté bâbord. Ce qui m'obligeait à aller en pied de mat pour descendre ou remonter un peu la bôme une fois la grand voile déroulée ou lorsque je voulais la rouler. Seems like years since I went away for a proper holiday! Here's a little ensemble of videos and pictures from my Summer holiday in Pembrokeshire. I'm already an adopted "North Wales-er" but I absolutely loved the southern area of Pembrokeshire. It is just so beautiful and of course full of boats and great sailing!!! I was like a pig in muck exploring all the harbours and talking to people about their boats and was encouraged to see so many Drascombe boats just moored in the sea. I would recommend just getting a tent on your back and getting down here. It's awesome. Anyway hope you enjoy, will be back sailing very soon!

The opening day of the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series in St. Petersburg brought nearly 260 sailors together to kick off the 2023 season with sunshine, moderate winds and lively party at the St. Petersburg YC to end the day.

Stronger winds at the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series provided plenty of excitement for the 14 fleets on Tampa Bay with the addition of nearly 40 distance race boats.

The wind shut down for the final day of the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series St. Petersburg, but that didn't stop the the fun.
