When you come in to dock your powerboat, you can feel the eyes of the marina - all staring right at you. Will you end up looking like a competent captain, or a Gilligan? That all depends on whether or not you know these powerboat docking tips. 1. Prep your bow and stern lines plus all of your fenders ahead of time. Try to get all that stuff ready as you approach, and not only might you run out of time, you might also get flustered in the rush. 2. Never approach the dock faster than you're willing to hit it. This is the cardinal rule of docking, because even if you do everything right, mechanical mishaps could ruin the experience. Your engine could stall, the steering cable could snap—who knows? Murphy's Law is constantly plaguing boaters, so plan ahead for mechanical failure. 3. As you shift out of gear to slow your approach, turn the wheel to make course corrections BEFORE shifting back into forward. Otherwise, you'll inadvertently apply power with the drive pointing in the wrong direction. Even if it's just for a second or two, you'll have to make additional corrections that shouldn't have been necessary. Bonus Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for help. If someone's standing on the dock, have them grab your lines or help fend off. And remember to never yell at a crew-member. As the captain it's your job to make sure they have a clear understanding of what their job is, so if they flub it, the fault is really your own.

The spectacle of an AC75 at speed in flight is breathtaking but to learn to fly these boats at speeds that have rarely been achieved has meant that teams have had to climb a near vertical learning curve. The technology is new, as is the concept and even the language that the crew use to communicate, so how do the crews handle an AC75? Matt Sheahan talks to foiling supremo, multiple world champion, former America's Cup sailor, Olympic gold medallist....you get the idea....Nathan Outteridge who has been studying these boats and the way that they are sailed since they were first launched here in Auckland. Situated in the very South east corner of Fiji, Fulanga is about as far from civilization as you can get. It is one of the most beautiful places we have been to in the world. Yes, the world. Fulanga has it all. A beautiful protected lagoon with crystal clear waters, abundant sea life, corals that are alive and healthy, shallow waters, beautiful mushroom islets, a sand spit perfect for kite boarding, a pass to dive, and the beautiful people of Fiji in the nearby village. Life is good in Fulanga. So take the time to sit back relax and join us in this video where we explore above and below the pristine waters of this lagoon. We were grateful to be able to share this unique and amazing place with Kim, Ashley’s mom. But Fulanga lacks one thing, a vegetable shop. With provisions running out and a flight to catch for Kim, we set off to the big city of Suva. After clearing the standing waves in the pass, we set sail for civilization. The passage was smooth and the big city lights greeted us at twilight after 2 nights at sea. With the sun coming up we pulled into the busy ramshackle port and made our way to the Royal Suva Yacht Club. Our very first reciprocal club experience in our entire world cruise. Suva has a reputation among yachties as being a bit of a dump but we loved it! Blasting around in cheap cabs, amazing Indian food, friendly people, rugby games, and the best market we have ever seen! We saw mom off with a wonderful gentleman, Hari, in a beautiful air conditioned cab for the trek to the international airport on the other side of the island in Nadi. Suva, the shining hole of a city won our hearts. But time was ticking and we were dying for a swim in the ocean, it was time to keep going. Fishermen Dream of the days of Glass Calm Crystal Clear water in the Florida Keys while fishing for Dolphin! Other wise know as a Mahi Mahi or Dorado, Dolphin are amongst some of the most sought after game fish while Deep sea fishing in the Florida Keys. Not only are they beautiful, they fight great and taste delicious, which equates to the most Epic Fishing Videos in a bay boat! There are a lot of different methods to catch Mahi Mahi, but we spend the morning throwing the cast net for pilchards to add live bait to our arsenal. Once we acquire bait we head to the Islamorada Hump to do some live chumming, which deems to be productive! After that we do some running and gunning, trolling, and share different tips and techniques based on how to catch dolphin fish. Once we tire out we run the boat from the deep sea in towards the shallow reefs to do some scenic snorkeling. Thereafter we head to the dock to clean up the fish to enjoy a delicious Mahi Mahi fish recipe!
