I heard some people put closed cell foam inside. I just made a gasket out of a thin stripe of EVA foam sheet. It worked like a charm.

Serve per armare vele di prua asimmetriche, come il gennaker, il code zero o altre vele moderne che richiedono un punto di mura avanzato. Può essere realizzato in carbonio o alluminio, e la sua funzione principale è quella di ottimizzare la portanza e l’efficienza delle vele da regata o da crociera performante. ⚓ Differenza tra bonpresso e delfiniera Spesso si fa confusione tra bonpresso e delfiniera: il primo è solitamente retrattile e usato per esigenze di regata; la delfiniera, invece, è una struttura fissa più comune nelle barche da crociera, che può integrare anche l’alloggiamento per l’ancora. Melbourne ist die Hauptstadt des Bundesstaates Victoria in Australien. Sie ist mit etwa 5,2 Millionen Einwohnern nach Sydney knapp die zweitgrößte Stadt Australiens. Die Stadt liegt rund um die Mündung des Yarre-River. Das Wetter in Melbourne ist sehr wechselhaft und wird gerne mit „four seasons in a day“ – also - „Vier Jahreszeiten an einem Tag“ beschrieben. Starke Wetterschwankungen sind vor allem jetzt im Frühjahr bis zum Sommer zu beobachten. Sie äußern sich primär in Form von Stürmen, Regen und schnellen Temperaturstürzen. Hierfür ist der Temperaturunterschied zwischen dem kühlen Südpazifischen Ozean und dem erheblich wärmeren Inland Australiens verantwortlich. Erwärmt sich das Land deutlich schneller als der Südpazifik, steigt die Luft über dem Land auf. Die kältere Luft vom Meer bewegt sich als Südwind, auch Southerly genannt, zum nördlichen Hochdruckgebiet. Hierbei entsteht eine Kaltfront, die den plötzlichen Wetterumschwung verursacht. Brigitta war natürlich vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben passte als in meins. In den folgenden 6 Monaten hat Brigitta aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich über unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Insgesamt sind wir aktuell 4 ½ Jahre unterwegs. Ein Abenteuer folgt dem nächsten und wir genießen jeden Tag aufs Neue. From 19–23 January, 18 young people joined us for a five-day school holiday voyage through the Hauraki Gulf — and the weather made sure it was a real adventure. ⛵🌧️🌬️ With challenging Auckland conditions throughout the week, life onboard quickly became a lesson in resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. Living and learning at sea, the crew took part in hands-on sailing, navigation, and watch systems, discovering what it truly means to work together when conditions are tough. While time ashore was limited, the experience delivered an authentic outdoor education journey. Students were pushed outside their comfort zones, built confidence, supported one another, and proved that growth often comes from challenge. After a month away from the boat, we’re finally back — and diving straight into projects. This episode starts with Jeff flying back to Minnesota to reunite with the family for Christmas and help pack up our house as we prepare to sell it. From there, it’s back to the boat to reassemble our Gori folding props, splash back into the water, and get moving again. Most of this episode is spent building the scaffolding and structure for our new solar arch and mounting solar panels as we continue upgrading our electrical system for full-time liveaboard life. It’s one of those projects that’s probably fine… right? We also take some time to explore Fort Pierce and Riviera Beach, Florida, as we slowly make our way south and continue learning what it really takes to live aboard a sailing catamaran as a family.
