Da Vieste, dirigeremo su Monopoli e da li verso Brindisi dove abbiamo lasciato la barca per qualche giorno per rientrare al lavoro. Das erste Mal Gennaker-Segeln. Bei rund 4 Windstärken haben wir den letzten Segeltag des Jahres 2023 noch genutzt, um zum ersten Mal die große, rote Blubberblase am Bugspriet zu hissen. Mit einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 18.1 Knoten zischten wir über das Wasser. Dieser selbst gebaute Katamaran macht einfach nur Spaß. I'll install this system on a Pacific Seacraft Orion 27 and come up with a way of testing it 'on the hard' while also checking the plumbing for leaks. After drilling a 2 1/2" hole in the hull I find varying hull thickeness and will address this issue.

Phase 2 of this off-grid cabin repair… and now we’re working underneath it. With the structure still out of level, this step is all about building temporary posts to hold the house in place while we prepare for the real foundation reset. No waiting on perfect conditions—just getting under there and figuring it out. Most of this work happens after sunset. Headlamps on. Ocean waves in the background. Tools, mud, concrete, and whatever materials we can haul in from the surrounding area. Out here, plans change fast. No trip to the store. No easy resupply. So we improvise, borrow, scrounge—and keep moving.
