Pour y arriver, il a fallu affronter le pont de l'autoroute, des hordes de méduses déchainées et une ville fantôme. Bien sûr, à la frontière de l'Andalousie, presque en Alentejo, il faisait un bon 40° (ce qui explique les méduses).

The very light winds and slow-going progress of the fleet instead tested patience and skills at keeping the boat moving on courses set initially around the island at 68 miles for Class A, 52 miles for Class B and 43 miles for Class C. After 6 hours of racing the race managers opted to shorten the courses at various locations around the island for all classes: the C class course was cut in half at 26.4 miles, B Class cut to 35.6 miles, and Class A cut to 39.5 miles.

A LOOK BACK AT THE BORDEAUX EXPERIENCE We were thrilled to share this interlude, which included an art exhibition, an immersive tasting experience and a tour of our models in our shipyard, and offer tastings of local specialities. ON THE AGENDA, AN ART EXHIBITION AND TOURS OF THE SHIPYARD AND THE CATAMARANS The art exhibition included a remarkable and original group of artworks by Marie-Laure Audouard and photographs taken by Nicolas Claris on the theme of the sea. “Ocean wildlife, in all its diversity, is even more precious today because it is threatened by a degraded ecosystem. By building up a current collection of marine specimens, I hope to work towards their rediscovery, from the most iconic and familiar to the less visible. ” – Marie Laure Audouard “We spend a very large part of our life photographing and filming Lagoon catamarans, and each time we sail, we see that the sea is more and more in need of protection. The pictures in this exhibition were made with ice, which is made of water. In this episode of The Rogue Rigger I take you on along for one of our practice sessions on the recently restored Farr 400 "ASTRA." The boat was shipped out from the east coast and brought to a Bay Area yard to be stripped of all its hardware, repainted, new hardware installed and then re-commisioned. I was lucky enough to get to work on her by replacing all of the running rigging and doing some hardware upgrades. This day was a spectacular day on the water learning to tame this beast! Top speed for the day was 20knots!!! Cant wait till we get it fully dialed! Thank you Simon for the opportunity to work and sail on ASTRA!
