ur Cornwall adventure took us to Boobies Bay, Constantine Bay, and Treyarnon Bay — three stunning beaches on the north Cornish coast. We thought we’d struck gold, finding a quiet little lane to park just a couple hundred metres from the beach. From there we set out to explore: • At Boobies Bay, the tide was in, so we missed the shipwreck that’s sometimes visible at low tide. • At Constantine Bay, surfers filled the water, enjoying perfect waves. • At Treyarnon Bay, we spotted an artist perched on the rocks, painting as the tide crept dangerously close to his feet! The day ended with a little surprise — on trying to leave, we discovered the gate to the lane was locked. It turns out the road belongs to the golf course and is actually a paid car park… whoops! We kick things off navigating through the famous Dorus Mor tidal race, where the current pushes us up to 8 knots, before passing the Fladda Lighthouse and heading towards Oban. With calm seas, Caribbean stories, and a few video-making “tips” from Robin, there’s never a dull moment aboard. Once in Oban, we head ashore for a bit of “Trekking with Dave,” climbing up to the iconic McCaig’s Tower (also known as McCaig’s Folly). The steep hike is well worth it, rewarding us with breathtaking views over Oban Bay and the Sound of Mull.
