Leaving Knidos in Turkey and sailing East on a run, we try out ‘Goose wing’ for the first time with very little success. Next stop Kargi Koyu where eating out gets to be a challenge, before sailing on to Bozburun, a sleepy little town with expensive restaurants, but low mooring fees! Two nights here and we are pressing on to Bozukkale, a stunning location with the clearest water we have seen so far on our travels, and ancient ruins that stand proud atop the entrance to this beautiful location. Octopus are a plenty, and the locals spend no time at all showing off their expertise at not just catching these creatures, but how to deal with their demise! We explore, swim and enjoy the Taverna here, a rare treat for us, being on this tight budget of ours, we rarely eat out, but are glad we did, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Von Grenada nach Südamerika - 1000 Meilen hoch am Wind Als Teilnehmer der jährlichen Nereid's Rally. Wir, Joachim und Sabine, die Crew der Atanga, wir sind am 01. Juni 2014 in Hamburg gestartet. 2015: Kanarischen Inseln 2016: Kapverdische Inseln, im Februar 2016 unsere Atlantik-Überquerung nach Französisch Guyana. Dann kleine Antillen und noch einmal die Guyanas und Suriname mit der Nereid’s Rally. 2017: ABC-Inseln (nur BC), Mexiko und Belize. In Mexiko haben wir eine dreiwöchige Rundreise im Landesinneren unternommen. Im Anschluss kamen Providencia und Kolumbien Festland (ebenfalls mit einer dreiwöchigen Rundreise) und die San Blas Inseln in Panama. 2018: Wir wurden im Januar in Panama vom Blitz getroffen. Die Reparatur dauerte drei Monate. Nach der Passage durch den Panama Kanal haben wir den Rest des Jahres in Ecuador verbracht und fünf Wochen das Landesinnere erkundet. 2019: Osterinsel, Gambier, Tuamotu und Gesellschaftsinseln. 2020: Die Corona-Krise hat uns in Gambier (Franz. Polynesien) erwischt. Wir werden sehen, wohin der Wind uns treibt und wie weit wir kommen.
