Christmas eve had arrived and that's the day we celebrate in Sweden. We had a nice time in Bequia, the Grenadines and found a pair of crutches for Malin so she didn't have to jump on one leg all the time. We met our Swiss friends who sails on a Trimaran and then we set sail south again to the Tobago Cays before sailing back to Grenada. Hello everyone, today’s video is an unboxing and installation of the Automatic Pro Car Adapter along with a review of the phone software app. Last year we discovered this car monitoring tool that plugs into most (1996 or newer) car’s ODBII diagnostic port. This device currently costs around 130 USD and has no monthly 3G data fee for five years. The device is used for all sorts of things such as: crash alert and emergency response, car usage and mileage tracking, and warning codes put out by the computer for your car. We go through many icw bridges as we sail South along the intracoastal waterway, getting closer and closer to the Bahamas everyday! Things change the further South that you get along the ICW. The water gets clearer, the people get crazier, and the bridges become MUCH more numerous. These changes occur quickly and dramatically right about the time you hit Jupiter, FL on a South-bound course. Try it, you'll see. In this video, we conquer dozens of opening bridges, we endure dozens of monster powerboat wakes, we get yelled at by emotional "panties-in-a-wad" bridge tenders, and we get THAT much closer to our "jumping off" point of Key Biscayne, FL. Wow, we are all over the place in this one, or at least it seems that way on camera. But really?; it's a pretty typical week for us. We had a surprise visit from our welder to complete the last of what we needed there....which means we were free to start on the bottom! Sanding and grinding down to bare aluminum, priming, and then adding a barrier coat, we had an exhaustive week. It didn't end there though. On top of the barrier coat, Matt added a faring compound to smooth out a few of the seams which I (Jessica) had to sand down to smooth even more. Our work continues to the inside of the boat as well. I take to (hopefully) getting the last coat of paint in our forward salon, and Matt is beginning to get us functional by beginning the process of wiring everything to our batteries.
