Der Kieler Umschlag geht auf einen gleichnamigen mittelalterlichen Freimarkt zurück, der seit 1431 jährlich stattfand. An diesen Tagen trafen sich die adeligen Grundbesitzer sowie Kaufleute und ihre Rechtsanwälte aus Hamburg und Lübeck, um alle fälligen Geldgeschäfte abzuwickeln. Neben den Geldgeschäften lockten zahlreiche Vergnügungsangebote das Volk in die Stadt. Gaukler, Seiltänzer, Schausteller und Komödianten sorgten für Belustigung.

Un week-end en mer pour 4 plongées, 2 à la Zélée et 2 au Geyser. Départ le vendredi en fin d'après-midi de Mamoudzou, arrivée à la Zélée le samedi matin pour une première plongée puis route vers le Geyser pour une seconde plongée. Nuit au mouillage au Geyser, puis 3ème plongée sur site. Reprise de la mer pour la Zélée et la dernière plongée. Puis retour de nuit vers Mayotte. Conditions météorologiques très bonnes, voire trop bonnes car il n'y avait pas de courant donc pas ou peu de pélagiques. Quelques rares requins trop loin pour les filmer, des raies aigles, des carangues et baracudas.

Boat Surveys are not sexy, but I did my best to make it fun to watch the process. It is a long slow day of checking out each individual system on a boat. Technically we just watch the marine surveyor check all the systems. There are a lot of systems, the bottom, the standing rigging, the running rigging, the lights, the anchors, the deck, the tender or dinghy, the inboard diesel motor, the out board gas motor for the dingy, the VHF, the stereo, the DC power, the AC power, the Air Conditioner, the Refrigeration, the head, the fresh water, the seacocks, the starter battery, the house bank batteries, the sails. The list goes on and on and they all have their own specs. A good survey takes quite a long time. It is well worth it. After, the first survey we had I would never buy a boat without one.The key is a good, honest, knowledgeable surveyor. This is what it is like. Sailed over the weekend of 2-4 June in the very best of early northern summer sailing weather, the Sevenstar Contest Cup drew a good fleet of 33 Contest yachts from 31-62ft (9-19m) for this enjoyable event which offers fun but competitive racing and also a programme of social sailing for the less competitive. A great way to broaden involvement and also, of course, conversation in the very social evening gatherings.

This is part two on our sailing across the Atlantic ocean. In this episode we experienced absolutely different conditions than during the first one but I am so happy I went through all of that. A few weeks ago I was invited to take part in the Women's Keelboat Championships in the Solent. It was a great opportunity to do something competitive - something I really miss being a mother - but it was great fun too. TRANSCRIPT This weekend I did W.O.C which is the Women’s Open Keelboat Championships. We borrowed a boat from the United Kingdom Sailing Academy. They were kind enough to let us use one of their keelboats and that was also arranged by Pete Tyler at Neilson. So the weekend consisted of six races. On Saturday there were three races. The races were probably a couple of miles long each and then we went out partying on Saturday night for the frocks and flip-flops party. So it's nice to go out and party a bit with lots of other women.. with a hog roast and a glass Prosecco. Then on Sunday we started again at 10 in the morning we did three long races. It was really great to do this this weekend because I don't get involved with a lot of racing anyway, I’m mainly skippering boats for other people or just taking people out or helping with the kids so it's nice to get out and be competitive. That's another thing that I don't really get to do, you're not encouraged to be competitive when you're mother. Yeah, there are some technical skills that I don't get to practice very much, I don't get involved with a lot of racing. Cruising is very different so racing you have to do a lot of things really quickly. My main job in was to trim so it's trimming the spinnaker and try and get it in the boat before it goes under the boat. So you have to do it really quick and you have to be really strong but it's quite good fun. It's really great to pack up my rucksack that I used to go traveling with and shoot off for the weekend knowing that the kids were in good hands with their Dad and also when I get back it’s telling them what I've done and it inspires them maybe because both my eldest daughter and my middle son are learning how to sail at the moment on their little Opy's and if they see that I’m doing it as well it might inspire them. Okay, so I'm off to do my lifeguarding beach patrol job. I’ve got my socks and my nice warm Dubbary’s and this is half the gear that we've got but I've got loads more kit to keep me nice and toasty warm today. The kids all forgot their pack lunches so I'm doing that on the way. I cover all the windows with reflectix panels I made for insulation, I turn my fantastic sucking air out on max (replaces all the air in the van every 90 seconds). I crack one window in a shaddy lower part of the van to create a consistent airflow. Other than that the fiberglass roof and insulation do a fantastic job of keeping the heat out. In colder climates I set the furnace on at minimum and close down all the windows same as for heat minus venting. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go seperate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharring my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time.

Hi Everyone! This is our oil change video for our 2004 Porsche 911 (996) Turbo (X50). Sorry it is so long 😉 It is the “complete” process including draining both turbo reservoirs, pre-lubing with oil in the filter housing, and pulling the fuel pump fuse to clear the fuel rails in order to pre-lube at the end. That makes for a lot of steps! It is pretty straight forward and should take less than an hour depending on the steps you preform. I believe this also applies to the 997.1 (Mezger) but you may not have the turbo reservoir plugs so you can skip that step 😊. If you have any questions or comments (or if I left anything out), please leave them below. Always consult your Owner’s Manual/Shop Manual to verify all steps and values. The following steps are optional: • Pulling the fuel pump relay for pre-lube after refilling the oil. • Pouring oil down the filter container. • Draining the two turbo reservoirs.
